Light I'll be using is an Inda-Gro 420 Pro with a pontoon add-on. (induction lighting)
  • The pontoon is two rails of red and blue spectrum LED's for vegetative and flowering. It is retrofitted to be placed on top. Just as the Inda-Gro 420 Pro turns off the pontoon switches to a lithium battery and powers led's to simulate sundown before the lights are turned off completely. They slowly turn off 1 by 1 and are fully turned off 5 minutes past lights out - therefore reducing the time it takes for the hormones to flip it's cycle to sleeping. So the manufacturer claims. I was so fortunate to be lent the light and pontoon so it was my first choice plus I've read good things about induction lighting.
6" AC Infinity fan and carbon filter
5x5 tent
5 gallon fabric pots
Mixed up coco coir and perlite 70/30.
PH'ing 5.7 - 6.2.
My plan for the nute schedule is as follows:
  • General Hydroponics nutes:
    • 25% @ week 3
    • 50% @ week 5
    • 75% @ week 7ish

Full on nutritional supply when the timing is just right and the last two weeks I'll cut the nutes and add blackstrap molasses.

I've done a good amount research into the matter of HST and LST but I certainly realize that I am a noob at growing cannabis. I will be scrogging for sure, and curious about using a different form of HST for each plant. I have experience with bountiful vegetable gardens and worked a few years at a local garden center so I'm pretty confident I wont destroy the plants or hurt them 'too' badly (I hope). But I intend to use one for each plant:
  • Super Cropping
    • Thinking of starting this on the strongest plant which appears to be the back right cannabis plant in the video and picture. Will start this at about week 5 or 6 depending on growth.
  • FIM'ing regiment
    • Attempting to start this after about the 4th or 5th node
  • Topping regiment
    • Same as fim'ing regiment
  • Mainlining
    • This is the one I am most nervous about in that it will turn out like I see it done. I'll be using the second healthiest plant for this technique and plan on topping it twice to get 8 stalks of tasty sweet delicious mary jane.
  • Strictly LST
    • For this I'll be tying down the main stem, and as growth progresses tie other main stems and branches.
I plan on recording data as things move along and will definitely be comparing results in yields and density, rosin press stats, size before flipping, and other variables.

Please any advice like things to look out for, opinions, or whatever I am all ears.

Some questions:
  • Are my sproutlings stretching for the current light in the video too much? (20 watt, 5000K Daylight, 2500 Lumens LED shop light.)
  • When should I transplant the cubes to 3" jiffy pots? Then jiffy pots to 5 gallon pots? Or should I skip the jiffy pots in all?
  • Will there be any issues with scrogging a mainlined plant?
  • Besides maintenance, is there any reason to not try different forms of training?
