First grow, limited to 24 plants by Medicle marijuana laws

This is my first post and i am looking to get some tips on how to run an efficient grow limited to 24 plants at one time, i currently have a
Grow Tent - Size L 56 x 56 x 78.5

I have a 1000w mh light with a double window fan outside tent on bottom as intake, and a 4 in exhaust in upper wall, and two ceiling flaps open temp is 81.5% hum 35-40% depending on day. I just ordered a slightly smaller tent 4 1/2 ft square and i think 6ft tall. I have 3 400w hps lights and was wondering which tent to use to veg which to bud and if i should use 2 400w hps or just one. I am currently growing in miricle grow potting soil mixed with a little perlite, i am not adding nutes to the water and plants are doing well. I will post picks of set up tommro.

If I could do it legal I would have 24 of the biggest plants I could grow. Screw the tent. Sleep in your living room and grow in your bedroom. lol. To answer your question I would prolly stuff as many lghts in as you could. As long as heat isnt a factor. YOu prolly only need one 400 to veg. Put the 1000 in the flower garden. Use the taller tent for flowering. Good luck. WM

so just let them veg very tall? the reason why im using the 1000w for veg is because its mh, i guess i will use the larger tent for budding, going to use it to veg now because i have alot of seeds and differnt size plants to grow before i can flower any. I was thinking of flowering 12 and veging 12 at all times and making 12 clones right before i harvest and move everyone over, so technically i will be over my allowance for a short period.

Most state law dictate that you are allowed to have X amount of plants Flowering at any given time.


You should check out whether or not your state uses this rule.

You can have 1000's of non budding plants kept in vegitative states, but only X many in flowering.

yeah the law in my state is max 24 plants and 5oz of dried smokable pot, it doesnt specify between mature imature, or veg and flowering. Kinda wish it did so i could veg more

I grew in soil for 14 years and switched to Aeroponics once I got my licence. I am a patient and provider for other patients also. One thing you might want to think about is as long as you are NOT selling weed, you are pretty safe. For example, lets say someone reports to the police that they think you are growing marijuana. The first thing the police will do is pull up your name on the computer and see that you are indeed a legal grower and that's the end of the story. They won't even be able to get a search warrant. But...If you sell to an undercover narc then you're fucked.

I would recommend a perpetual harvest. 12 plants in veg and 12 plants in flower at all times. Harvest 6 plants every month and replace them with 6 from the veg side.

You might want to think about something like my setup in these photos.
I built my aeroponic cloner for $40. My dual container veg setup cost another $40. My flowering system (aero/NFT) cost about $80 to build. All these systems work as well as my $700 Aero/NFT system I bought online. I use 100% organic nutrients only.

You could have 2 Aeroponic systems. Split the room in half with a light tight sheet. Veg one side and flower the other. After you harvest one side, take cuttings off of your veg plants to replace the plants you harvested. You wont need any mother plants.

A dual container system works great for veg. Since the roots aren't tangled together it makes it easy to move them to flower when they are ready. Once the plants are in the Aero/NFT system they can't be moved because the roots all grow together.

This would give you about 12oz. a month. Good luck trying to smoke that much!

wow nice set up, im obviously not that advanced yet. I will stick to soil through this harvest and then look into aero, I recieved an ez clone 30 machine with an auction i won on ebay, any experience with that?

Crap! We only get to have (legally) 3 flowering plants and 1 oz of dried plant matter. I should move! I gotta grow three plants almost year round just to keep me in weed and most you guys don't like indoor grows in the summer. In NV you can't surf if your're high... legally. Show me the waves in the desert.

Hydro is actually easier for me. With hydro you know exactly what your plants are getting. They grow so fast it's weird. Like nothing you can imagine!

I use EZ clone sprayers on all my systems. My cloner is basically a home made EZ Clone system. They make the best sprayers for aero systems.

My veg containers work on the same principle. Imagine your EZ Cloner container on top of a reservoir with a pipe running up from the rez to feed the sprayers. The top container drains back down into the bottom container (reservoir). Simple aeroponics.

Take the sprayers and put them on a 1/2" PVC pipe running down the inside of a couple of PVC fence posts and you're set. Same principle.

You have good light so you will get some good buds no matter what. Good luck with your grow!!!

I have attached some pictures, this is my grow tent with all my vegetative plants. I am using Miracle grow potting soil mixed with perlite, i add no other nutes, plant seem to like it. one plants leaves curled up and got some yellow after i took a few cuttings off it for cloning other than that all is well take a look and let me know if anyone has any tips. the light is 1000w mh and temp is between 81 and 86 little high but i will be adding a new exhaust fan

I would like to use aeroponics , i have an ez clone machine and just put some cuttings in it, nothing yet but they havent wilted at all, impressive. Could you explain the steps needed to duplicate your setup and where i can get the supplies? i will have to have two systems each for 12 plants and i an assuming i should space them good to obtain maximum yield. thank you for your help

maybe you could look into cloning and having 1 or 2 mother plants for taking clones so that you don't have to keep buying seeds

its usaly recommended that people use Flo or CFL lights for the clones since they are sensitive to light

Do you have the pump on a timer or is it constantly on? I would like ton construct one that was more square and could go into my tent i guess it would just be like 4 lines

One of the most important aspects of growing aeroponically is allowing the roots to get max Oxygen. Having an off cycle give the roots the most amount of O2 possible. I run my timer 1 min. on and 5 mins. off.

How to make a PVC fence post system:
Go to Home Depot and buy:
4"x4" fence post with end cap
3/4" PVC pipe for the frame
bag of 3/4" PVC elbows and tees (for the frame)
1/2" PVC pipe for the sprayer assembly
2-1/2" tees and a 2-1/2" PVC elbows
1-1/2" ball valve and garden hose adapter (to make it easy to drain the res)
1-Rubbermaid container

From the hydro store you need:
400 GPH pump
2" net pots
2" Neoprene plant holders
EZ-Clone sprayers (the red 360 ones) one per plant
Pump bag (filters water)

The photos pretty much explain how it goes together. The sprayers are set in the 1/2" PVC pipe running inside the fence posts. Super easy. It took me about 2 hours to make.

As far as growing nutrients I use:

Botanicare Nutrients:
126ML Cal-Mag Plus
180ML Liquid Karma
540ML Pure Bend Pro Bloom

I run 2900 PPM all the way through flower and flush with Clearex the last week of flower. I run the same formula for veg also.

can I use any kind of plant food like 20% - 20% - 20% in any areo or Hydro setup?

In California prop 215 states no amounts, and so STATE prosecution based upon amounts has been declared unconstitutional. fdd2blk posted a thread about it... last week I think.
