Hello growers this is my first grow. Everything is going ok just some leaves are twisting a bit they are about 10 days from sprout and I'm doing light general organic product feedings using ffof soil. Any ideas?

10 day old seedlings dont need feeding. Are the leaves green. If so and they are only twisting a bit I would just keep an eye on them for now. They wont stay green if you over feed though.

Hey Rasta, I had the same problem and didnt have a ph meter that worked and once I got one and checked the ph it was too low I was usin MG seed starter mix the ph was at 5.3-5.5 some say that that's fine for soiless mixes but once I upped the ph with some lime n also one water with lime mixed in the water n phed to 7.5 for rapid results so my run off was at 5.9 they took off n no more twisted really dark leaves and I had some plants In a mix with lime added and overdid I it with lime were pale really stunted growth from using hydrated lime instead of dolomite lime my ph runoff was at 7.8 but half the size of my seedlings with twisted dark big leaves. My guess is your def over feeding ffof is to hot for seedlings cut out your feedings only feed once you see paling leaves starting to yellow starting from the bottom up or after cpl weeks and check ph runoff if u don't have Meter add some lime don't over do it 1 tbs per gal. Of soil Or top dress a little on top of your soil and preferably mix it in a bit An ad some soil. I garuntee u if you just water with no nutes they'll do allot better rem less is more I learned the hard way killing seedlings or severely stunting them with ffof soil and now my problems with this grow is ph problems due not being able to find dolomite lime I knew I needed I figured I could get away with it for 2-3 weeks in MG seedling mix wich has no lime till I repot to bigger containers in roots organic soil amazing soil much better than ffof soil IMO especially for seedlings not as hot and better drainability than ffof but roots is still to hot for seedlins . If your using small containers repot and cut the soil with some light warrior (great for starting seeds )or a seedling mix with some dolomite lime added if not already in the mix. Less Is always better let the plants tell you when there hungry. best to always use a light seedling starter mix my best results is straight peat moss with some perlite and some organic soil mixed In a lil bit for some buffering and organic rich soil mix with earth worm castings and lime and myco added. Also make sure your tops don't exceed over 83 degrees or more if so move light up especially if using hid lights for seedlings such ad mh or hps lights are to strong if to close also try n keep your relative humidity at 50-70%. Also make sure you let chlorine evaporate if using tap water let sit for 24 hours then adjust ph so you dontkill beneficial microbes. For ffof soil id only use RO water if I had to use it for seedlings to lower ur overall ppms, hope this helps

There's your prob...you're feeding to early...wait till the cotyledons (little round leaves for food and energy) start to wilt and your leaves "start" turning yellow...and them start feeding 1/4 strength to get them used to being fed...good luck Rasta and welcome to RIU

YES, Ocean Forest has alot of good shit in it, IMO to much for seedlings or veg. My experience with Ocean Forest has led me to twisted leaves, wierd growth, to the point I switched to Happy frog, Ive since minimized my curling and twisting. When in soil wait for your plants to show you what they need!! lol GL Dont feed until they give you a sign of needing nutes. Use Light Warrior mixed for seedlings.
