any tips or advice would be appreciated. getting some more bulbs

got some minor yellowing on some leaves which i believe to be due to underwatering and the high heat, ac unit coming. also whats the best humidity to keep?

basically looking to see if theres anything that is wrong with my set up so far and what i could do to fix it.

also, plants are about 8, and 2-3 weeks old respectively. should they be bigger or fuller?

have two cfl ~1200-1500 lumens, a t5 4' fluro, and just got a 100w mh fixture and a 4200 lumen cfl that i havent put into the system yet. also soe of the plants leaves are a little dry to the touch. (ie not soft)

kgrow soil has npk roughly 10% ea i think

3 plants right now, this is more just an experiment to get a proper grow setup developed (mystery seeds)

its maybe 4 or so square footage of grow area

kk.

so if you wanna to t5 get t5 ho. your gonna want a ballast that can hold 4 or 8.
if you want cfl your gonna want some 26w. 60w. or the 150w. your gonna need quite a few

your best bet would just to buy like a 250w mh if possible. your gonna want around 10,000k lumens per plant for a healty one.

what about other things like the temp and humidty and what that can do to the plants health?

also, the leaves have some brown spots and some leaves are starting to yellow more and more. what does that mean?

well your going to want some fans. a fan to intake and a fan to exhaust.

brown spots could be a magnesium deficiency. whats your temperature?

around 80-90 avg. i have an ac unit coming, but would excess heat like that cause noticeable damage?

hm. it might. depends on the strain. usally there good up till 85F. anything over 85 and your asking for trouble.

the ac unit will be perfect on helping out. but yeah for 4 plants if you want decent yeilds your gonna want like a 400 or 600w mh and hps

what about a 100w mh + a 4200 lumen cfl and the t5 two bulb 4' fluro ? does that compare to almost being 400w or so?

yeah thats perfect!

and to be honest 400w might not even suffice for 4 plants just to let ya know. id just grow 2 monster plants.

and im not sure about the t5s not alot. the t5 ho however put out some good lumens. but with just 2 t5 that would be nowhere near enough

I finished an outdoor grow indoors thanks to nosey nieghbors and used cfl.s cuz that was all I could get fast, they worked better than I thought they would but a hid light makes a huge difference, with the cfl.s you have to have them hanging all over the place in order to be effective and that was a pain in the ass for me.I picked up a 400 watt digital with a mh and hps bulbs and an air cooled hood with a 3 year waranty for 151.00 bucks when I got it the hood was slightly damaged and he knocked another 30.00 off not a bad deal, remember you have to keep those cfl.s as close to the buds as you can without burning them in order for them to work my grow cabinet had so many lights hanging it there it looked like a fire hazzard, save up some cash and get yourself a hid it will be money well spent.good luck peace and grow on

i think you would do good to get that 400watt hps/mh system and put a phillips ceramic metal halide bulb in it... or maybe a 250watt... you are going to want a minimum of 3000 lumens per square foot. more if possible. and T5 high output lights are good to help, regular t5's aren't ass good but if you can mount cfl's and some T5's on the sides of your plant they will help out quite a bit. put a mixture of 2700 or 3000K bulbs and 6000 or 6500K bulbs in there.
