Hey All ! Hope i didnt scare you all with the title. Glad to be a member of rollitup. Been reading alot of posts lately until decided to grow my own medicine in a discreet way. So basically i have a very basic grow area in a compact greenhouse directly facing the window and an ac for sunlight n controlling temperature. My ladies get decent amount of sunlight direct/indirect throughout the day and im giving them a complete dark period of 2-3 hrs. Im familiar with most of the growing techniques n mediums so ill keep it precise. I wanted opinion about my setup and the health of the plants because i obviously cant discuss it with anyone else except online.

A few leaves turned yellow then brown curled and fell off. More leaves doing the same. Is it ok ? Your feedback will be helpful and appreciated about the entire setup and further advices. Uploading pictures along

BasicInfo about plants
2x Auto flower .. Age 1 month
2x Photoperiod...Age 1.5 month
Medium : Soilless - Perlite/Vermiculite

Watering every 4 days.. 1L/plant
Nutrients every 4 days 1g/Litre
Light : 12hrs sunlight. 8 hrs cfl.. rest dark period
Temp : 32 C daytime...27 C night
Humidity : 55 Day ..45 Night

I cant move my plants outside and the is the only incognito way of growing i could come up. Secluded room at the end of my house and no one lives along with me so hiding it from people/neighbours or friends isnt a problem. However whats your say about the setup and do my plants look healthy ? Thanks in advance.

First timer aswell here. Looks healthy to me, only thing i can see that might become a problem is your high temps, should be around 27-28 up to 30 max. Had the same problem in the beginning as well, solved it by switching day time on at night and have night time during the hottest hours of the day, allso have mine is at an 18/6 schedule, but 20/4 should work just as well, but might be a wy to get the temp down. Good luck with the grow!

Edit: seeing the whole death sentence thing, get your self a good vpn service while browsing for plant tips ;)

Death penalty? I would stop growing if I was you!
I considered that I might be crazy, when I thought to myself about leaving the growing friendly state of Alaska and plant a few monster bushes in the Ozarks of Missouri where you can get serious time for such an offense.

Hey how are ya today, First if your vegging them 18/6 or 20/4, 12/12 is for flowering, takes a little longer to veg that way. Also your Auto flowering plants can take 24hrs of light and keep going, but I think some rest period is best. Never top an auto, they are in a race from when they pop to when they are done flowering. Slow them down and it costs you yield. Second they are to young for nutrients you mightl burn them up. I feed only kelp juice water until I have four nodes up out of the dirt, then they get baby food mix until they go into 3 gallons then full strength. You are going to want to re pot the long stemmed plants, I recommend planting them up to the first set of main leaves, not the little water leaves. Don't disturb the roots, just plant them deeper. I started on CFL and florescence, is there any way you can get the lights flatter, it will give you more lumens hitting the plants vs the ends shinning on it. Also get them as close to the plants as possible, use the back of your hand to tell at what height they will burn you. You will have to adjust the lights often but the plants will be happy LOL. I couldnt see the back of your setup, but a small vent hole or slits for heat to radiate out will help with temps. Happy Growing hop I helped, Peace, Be Safe MD.

Hello fairly new here as well, but yeah looks like a descent set-up, I might just suggest trying to find some mylar sheeting or even a white material to help reflect the light, as well as dispurse the heat a little better as the bubble wrap acts like an insulator and keeps heat in. Good luck hope to see pics...Happy Smoking!

You definitely need to get your lights closer... 4" or closer.. add soil to your pots to cover the long stems..
More lights and reflective material would be helpful... overall not a bad start.. hope it's worth the risk!!

Wow, crazy farmer u got balls sir, congrats. Your set up looks like pretty much like mine when I started my first grow, and yes....
Keeping yours cfls closer is a good idea , avoid over-stretching, you pull the bulbs up as the plant asks. ( asap)
White flat color will improve your lighting.
Adding more soil will help to hold then up so then won't fall down and die.
Let then get some "fat" before go for a stretch.
If you r planing to go all the way w cfls, I think you should add more lumens, especially when it is about photos, don't know about autos/yield under cfls I guess will be less, be careful w light stress.
My experience w cfls were short, I jumped on some hids and the difference is really something that we should consider , but that is a total different kind of set up.
Your ladies look good but you will see the need of more light soon.
Never did soil less before so ....
keep your self alive and around you will learn a lot here.
Be welcome at RIU.
peace and take a hell of care.8-)

Very interesting setup! You should get some reflectors for your lights so you can focus more of that light that is escaping. How are you going to circulate air when it's lights out? Any intake or exhaust?

Thanks for the feedback Floki.. Keeping the temps maintained to 30 C at day and 25 C at night. Also i have increased dark period to 4 hours. However some adjustements to the temperatures at day really helped. Thanks again :)

Thanks for the concern first of all. Ive lived in canada for almost 5 years and now back to the homeland but cant find any weed here from hustlers without putting my life n liberty in danger so perhaps growing indoor without discussing or telling anyone was the only option. Only my angels or demons can screw me up (if they ever show up). Lol.. Because only rollitup.org knows that i am growing .. haha

Hey moondance ! Thank u for detailed response. I am giving them only 1 gram of organic veg nutrients to 2x plants each. 2 grams total for all 4 plants.

Im also thinking to buy another greenhouse with the same setup to seperately grow photoperiods n autos as obviously autos will flower early so to avoid transplant/photoperiod stress to my other plants. Im going to grow them seperately so i dont have to worry about the light period. For now 20 hours of sunlight plus cfl n 4 hrs of dark period.

If i bring the lights down, the leaves start to burn n turn black so the height of the rod holding cfls is as at decent height for the plants to avoid head whilst getting nice amount of light. I will however try to flatten the lights or put a base underneath the pots to raise their height, to bring them closer to cfls.

I dont have an exhaust at the back but i have punctured some square blocks of the greenhouse's poly carbonate sheets net at the back so basically cold air fliw in from one end and hot/warm air is going out from the back. Ac is pointed directly at the plants maintaining temp at 29 or 30 c at day n 25 or 26 at night. I also have a fan at the side that distributes ac's cold air into the greenhouse from front of the tent and the hot air goes out from behind due to the punctures holes at the back.

Basically good ventilation not that advanced but basic way. Thanks again MD.. cheers !

I have used some car screen reflectors inside and they worked like charm. Easily foldable/cleanable plus lumens have increased inside pretty well. Great advice. Thanks joe :)

Air circulation is good. Cold air coming in from one end and hot air going out from the back at day. However air circulation became a problem at the dark period during light depriviation so i have cut 2 square holes about 20 inches each at front and back on the black sheet cover which i use seperately during night time for light depriviation. Doesnt work like a charm but still helps maintain temperature n keep the inside of the grow area cool as well as dark during night hours. For instance at night with a dark black sheet cover on the green house temps are constant at 25 degrees Celcius inside and at day when the black top is removed from the greenhouse. Day temp is at 30 degrees celcius inside even with direct but slightly filtered sunlight. Sounds good ? Cheers for the feedback

Thanks ! 4" starts burning the leavea as i have direct filtered sunlight along with cfls on at day time. However i have increased lumens by reflectors. Just need to flatten the lights to distribute lumens evenly

Hi Frajola ! Thank you for your suggestions and the compliments. Well indeed it needs some balls to do what i am doing but im a stoner for life so might aswell add this to my achievements that i grow my own weed that too in a country like mine. How cool is that? too bad wont bring me any sexy girls in real coz of my grow but im happy flirting with these 4 ladies for now and having a really good time catering to their needs..

Now coming to the topic of discussion. I have ordered 2x HPS with pipes vents n exhausts online to replace cfls later when my ladies go into flowering.

I am also going to seperate autos n photoperiods from one another. Will grow them in seperate greenhouses so adjusting lighting n temp during flowering doesnt beome a hassle later as autos will obviously flower earlier.. I prefer to plan ahead and i read somewhere its never a good idea to top or do lst with autos as they cant take much stress so i will spare them and let them grow like a xmas tree however might bend/top/LSt my photoperiods to make them produce more buds. How long do you think i should veg my photoperiods before switching them to flowering with 12/12 lights. Photoperiods at about 7 weeks. Initially my ladies were growing slow but since i joined this forum and followed a few advices from fellow growers like you. My plants are not only looking healthy but their growth has improved quite well too.

Love to be a part of RIU community. Definitely the best place to learn n grow. Im all eyes n ears. Would love to hear from you again with more advices. I will upload more pictures soon to update you all with growth.
Thank u once again :)
Peace !

Happy to help YoGolen! And happy that it helped :) Can not stress it enough tho, as I am concerned about you. Get an vpn and become anonomous, if you have not all ready some sort of security mesure.
