first grow hydro

Got mine from Attitude about two weeks ago along with the free Blue and CA. hash plant but they are out now. I've used these guys before and they have them.

Ordering regulars for potential breeding. Wanted an Urkel for it's west coast taste. We use to get west coast shipped in to my area when I started in college. Usually Maui Wowee and some other fruity stuff but this should be sweet.

I never orderd from the tude but I heard alot of good things about them . the tude ran out oof purple wreck , I seen the picture of it and it looks sweet youre right , I am going to t ry dr cronic and see if he has it

well here is a stupid move on my part. yesterday I was fixing my filter couse I built it wrong and I noticed my plants limping , so I figured it was from the fans , but to make sure I felt the stems of the plants for firmness and they felt soft and then I rememberd that that morning I added water and nutes and took the hose off the pump and ran it to circulate the nutes so I can adjust the ph quicker , but then did not put the hose back on :wall:

aint that some shit . so I put the hose back on and ran it for an hour straight and then they started looking real sexy again

And that's why you never do anything in the grow room High! LOL! Just kidding. They're looking sexy good! It's gonna get crowed in there soon. You'll end up removing the males and be happy to get more room! You'll also probably find that the biggest plants are the males. If the big ones are females, you got mother material! Your setup looks good for SOG but I'd wait for an all female line-up. They'll double or maybe even triple their veg height in the first 4 weeks of flower. How much head room do you have?

for both rooms it's 5 more feet but giving light space two 400w in the flowering room only 4 feet like you said it'll be great for sog , remember the big tote I made , well I just got two more and I am going to make it a 3 plant site for mothers and use the one I made already for semi veging clones and the other new tote make it a 40 site cloner and the 2 rooms for flowering ,

Seperate rooms are almost required. I tried to split the closet with some panda film and a zipper but the damn zipper let out the light from my veg area to my flower area. I put a piece of panda film to cover the zipper but that was a hassle taking it up and down every night before lights out but I need the zipper open or the veg room would get overheated. I got the clone girls veggin right next to me now but they are close to ready. I like my veg plants to be about 12" tall and bushy before I send them to veg. More mature that way with more bud sites and since I'm only doing 3 plants thats kind of important. Sounds like you're setting up for mass production! gott love that perpetual grow! Keeps you on your toes! My dream is to grow for others when MM gets legalized around here. Then it will come out of my closet and I'll build out the bedroom for the proper use of the space. Have 10' ceilings so that will open it up to all strains. Bet I could grow 20lbs a year no problem. Room is 13x15. I envy your being able to make things. My brother is a mechanic and he got all the mechanical genes, the bastard!

dude all you got to do is think it out plan it and then do it , I just start with a thought and then think how it could be done and then if its posible , I get what I need and then do it , trust me I fuck shit up all the time . my veg room is 3' by 4' by 7' and my flowering room is the same . what I was saying is turn the veg room into a flowering room and the rest of the basement will be for veg and clones , since I dont have to worry about light seeping in for veg and clones

OK that makes sense on the room set-up. I still think you discount your ability to "think how it could be done"! LOL! Put me in front of a car and I can barely find the alternator. I use to be better when cars where more simple. Geez, I sound like an old foggie! When did that happen!

well here are new pics from a few minuets ago . I just changed the water again couse it smelled moldy , cleaned it with h2o2 and set the ppm at 750 and ph at 5.8 water temp at 68 degrees F , room temp at 74 F and humidaty at 70% , I know gotta turn the outtake fan on .

sorr I missed a day of pics , but life gets busy, well I didnt check on them yesterday at all , so I just went down there and make sure everything is ok , 2 day ago the plants were 2 inches under the light and today the plants were lifting the lights I had to raise the lights by 5 chain links , well check them out

Holy Shit! Those are great! Have you considered just leaving them alone until they finsh. Maybe they'll call you tell you when they are done or need something? You could just do room service for them! LOL! Them growth spurts are tricky some time! I'm about 4 days into flower and I have a 3" stretch in that time. Put them in at 12-13" and now 16"+ The one Blue cheese is lagging seriously behind. Last one filed out a little late but it won't be anything close to the production/vigor of the LSD. Don't think I'm going to do multiple strains in the same grow except for maybe on of the freebees I got from a recent Attitide purchase.

Look damn near perfect! Seriously considering doing this come Oct. I did review the earlier part of this thread when you switched from drip to e&f. Is there just one inlet and one drain per tube? How long off and on?

each fence post has 1 inlet and 1 outlet , both inlets are connected with a 1/2 inch tee. and the two outlets are also connected by a 1/2 inch tee , now we have two hoses are in the rez , one as a return line and the other to the pump. I will take pics tomorrow and post them

Great, thanks. Also, what is the size of your res and how much on and off. I think I'm going to rearrange my closet for something like this. 4' posts, right. Got the perfect spot in mind. Got to find me one of those tables you have there too. I'll also probably get a 400 watt and vent it properly. Maybe use my 250 and a new 400 and some CFL's for side lighting. Ok I admit it. I'll be getting all the toys!

that'll be sweet . but as far as the rez it is a 20 gallon tote , I run it on for 30 mins at a time four times a day duiring that light cycle , so while they sleep all they are getting fresh air the roots and the branches

Just got back from Lowe's (needed porch paint). Saw 4' x4" post covers and the beveled ends so at least I got that covered. Plenty of time between now and the time I want to start and the whole month of Sept to build and vent as needed. Got a source on the e&f connectors, have a hole bit for my drill. Looks like you have no head on the fill and the overflow is about 2" from the pics. I've decided to build a couple of these and get mass production (for me). Probably go with purple wreck in one and Grape purp in the other. They have similar flower time and height so that should work. I want to know how to do different version of hydro. How often do you change the res water?

ya I see what youre talking about ( the fill, and overflow) that was when it wasnt there , I am going to start building the flowering room and I will take pics step by step. but as far as the ? you asked , I change the water once every 10 days couse I add water daily , they drink a little over 1 gallon a day

No hurry. Got a month or two before I start the build. Spent about 20 minutes this afternoon just trying to imagine where everything will go. I should have between 5 and 6' of grow height if I place it where I think I'm going to. I want to be able to grow the larger strains if I get a wild hair. I'm taking your advise of just planning it out in my head and then use some newly developed mechanical skills (amazing what a little motivation can achieve!). Personally I do better if I act as if I know what I'm doing! You think you'll be able to move the plant from hole to hole if you find you have males? I'm thinking you can and that would let me group the remaining females for maximum productions. I'll probably 2 clone all of them before I put them to 12/12 and throw out the male clones when the Dad shows me some nuts.
