first grow hydro

Isn't that kind of small for a mother plant? Maybe not. You sure have lot of water for them to swim in. I'm thinking the roots will get very large but I have not mothered anything yet.

oh its going to be filled with water/nutes but if need be you can manecure the roots a little , just stay away from the main root . the mother just needs to stay alive , not going to need rapid growth

Got it. Also any trimmings on the top ought to be like picking salad green with a little umphh! LOL!
well here are some updates nothing too much but I am going to have to move the light up a little they are sitting about 3 inches from the tops , on another note I pulled down the mylar yesterday and made a 6" hole for exhust vent to go into the flowering room where I am going to put the home made carbon filter , didnt make it yet but I got all the stuff for it yesterday . I included pics of the new tote and of the setup I got now . enjoy bongsmilie

That's really cool! Thanks for the pick of the ebb and flow chamber. To me it looks like when you are done you will have one blazing system. You must be good at what you do for a living also. detail work can get important some time.

Well, I'm here taking a break from my cutting the girls today. Got to get a decent camera for the next grow. Have one out of the 3 almost done and I have 6 colas about the size of coke cans all trimmed up and in my dryer box. Headed for my biggest harvest to date. Keep that in mind as you go from grow to grow. You'll get better with each grow. I didn't find this site until the middle of my second grow and the info here will make you a journeyman shortly. We'll back to the "grind"

thanks dude for the big ups , I some times see shit and if I know i can make I will , I dont like to spend 65 dollers for a 6 site tote of 20 gallons when this one cost me a total of 25 with the pump and the net pot , covers and I already have the drippers ,so hey save money and spend it on the electricty or more lights
I found this site maybe this past december when ever I googled somthing about growing I would visit this site and became a member to see the pics and search the site and learn from posts and grows . it worked out fine for me couse I was getting what I needed ready and learning at the same time. from december through may and here is where I started
how much do you harvest btw and how many plant do you flower at once

Flowered 3 plants on the last grow and it looks like it may dry to around 7oz. Last one was 5.7 and this one looks bigger. Pretty much started the same way. Joined in dec after I started growing the previous summer. I realy needed this site and found it when looking for grow info.

update on my bitches just added some water to the rez , I was seeing a hint of discoloration (nute burn) so I lowered the ppm back down 11 of them is at 17 days and 1 is at 21 days

They look great and the PPM looks about right for this stage. Nute burn on mine looks like little rust colored spot and sometimes the leaves just droop a little too. You can expect those first leaves to whither at some point during veg but no need to freak. It's natural. Kind of like how the shuttle ditches the big gas tank when it's empty. Watch the newer growth just above the bottom leaves for nute burn signs.

thanks on where to look for the burns , there are some light green spots and they get lighter towrads the center of the spot from dark green to almost yellow . but I cought it early though . I know the rust color you're talking about

well here are the updated pics nothing much of change on the light green spots It is too early to tell now the ppm is lower and I added some vigor to the mix which brought theppm to 720 I think they hit the veg state couse they are growing from all angels , I notice groth from morning to night and from night to morning. and there is now groth from the innernodes :clap:they are on:fire:,lol,
also I am keeping them stocky and not letting them streach too much MC should I let them streach couse I dont have too much width or keep them growing the way I am doing now , you what my setup looks like

I like fimming for more bud sites. Then I use supercropping to control height/width. I also have a pack of plastic coated paperclips and if something need to be moved out of the way you can unbend them and attach one end to the stem that needs to be move and the other end lower down on the plant if even attach it to another plant. My version of LST. Looks like you could start fimming those tops shortly. I try to look at the plant as seen by the light. I move fan leaves blocking any buds trying to get to the top.

ya next week I could fim, maybe not even couse they growing fast I'll see what happens , look at the pics from the 4th and todays pics . how do you super crop the side branches , would'nt they just limp tp the bottom way below the light

Supercropping comes later and I use it to limit height and move buds out of the way of some up and comers. I concetrate on having as many bud sites as possible exposed to the light.

well here are pics from an half hour ago. they are looking good , I think? let me know if somthing looks wrong , the leaves are thin and drooping under as you can see on a couple of them , people say I worry too much but these are my first kids and wanna see them flourish, so check them out and I am signing outbongsmilie

They look good to me. We all worry about our first grow. Gardening teaching you patience if nothing else. Just don't get a case of the "I wonders" as in I wonder what will happen if I do this or that. Keep it simple on the first grow and let your knowledge base grow.

more pics . thanks MC I am going to try and I said try not to worry too much . how old do they have to be befor I can clone for sex couse I wanna give the girls room to grow
