First Grow Help Please

I was thinking of growing a plant or 2. I have not smoked in years but since I quit my nerves have been shot so I am thinking about a good prescription drug for myself.

I found a 4x2x5 online for 60 bucks thought it seems like a steal so I just ordered it. I plan on ordering a 400w HPS cool tube also with carbon filter and fans all that good stuff for the grow tent.
I will probably be growing an indica since the tent is small. I was just curious as to how many I can fit in here comfortably through Flowering? I was thinking 2-3. I also plan on vegging for at least 2-3 week but possibly 4 weeks.
I will probably stay Organic for the most part for now to. Will I be looking at having to tie down my plants to control how they are growing?
Any tips for me would be great. Thanks in advance!

2 tops depending on strain if you want yeild go for the sog method put like 20 in there

sounds like you got a good idea of what to do man.

3 plants should be fine in there maybe think about building a ScROG screen to fit the tent and extend the veg time a little bit so you can fill that screen up (5 weeks should be more than enough)

make sure you add a little dolomite lime to your soil before you plant to avoid any PH issues down the road. grab up a bag of epsoma bulb tone for like 7 buycks and ammend the shit out of your soil with it, its ll organic and a great all purpose food fro veg and flower.

create a journal on here when you start up and you will get some people thta will help you along the way, never take anyone word for anything on here though just take thier suggestions and do some research before making any changes.

plant are going to get a little discolored sometimes, dont freak out about a small yellow dot and dont go adding a bunch of shit to try and fix it because people on here will scream toxicity/deficiency have you do all kinds of stupid shit to your plant when its just a bug bite ot some stupid shit.......(have seen it happen loads of times)

all in all just go by the K.I.S.S motto (Keep It Simple Stupid) and you should be fine, its just a plant..only difference is Mj requires a fair amount of light to grow into what we are expecting, keep temps in the 70's and as much light as possible, if you can get a 600w instead of a 400w it might not be a bad idea.....

dont concern yourself with topping and FIMing LST works 100 times better if your looking to gain more top colas.

Can anyone give me some good advice in brands and as to what to look for in Carbon filter/ Fan combo deal

The Vents are Vent: two 6" round (back wall), two 8" round (top), two 4" round (left and right), three 19 1/2"x2 3/4" rectangular if this helps

look on Amazon.com they have some good filters and fans

I'd recommend investing in decent fans, as cheap ones will just start to get noisy after a while.

In my experience carbon filters are carbon filters, just buy one big enough for your grow area.

As a previous poster said; keep it simple. You'll see people with all sorts of complicated equipment on here, using all sorts of nute combos n shit, but take baby steps...you'll learn more if you take it steady.

plants simply dont need all that crap...yeah sure if your growing prize buds for high times magazine then sure but for a head stash and maybe a little extra pocket change you dont need 10k$ wortth of equipment.
