First Grow help and adivice appreciated :)

hey all this is my first grow did as much research as i could (ongoing) , just want some help and advice and newbie errors ive made any future probs people can spot and general help, ok space is 3x3ft and just over 6ft high I have a 250w sunmaster cool deluxe mh bulb as dont want to have to worry about heat issues stuff online always going on about heat build up so got a 250w, I try to open the doors and let fresh air in as much as pos, also has access to air from under my bed but that space is also enclosed (stain blue mystic feminized,started with light mix now in all mix using bio-grow nutes temp goes from 70-80 and hum 55-65%) 14 days old from germ had some household cfls on them when till 1st leave came through and i lowered the 250w from roof to 16inches where it is now how close should i get ive read the back of the hand test if it uncomfy its too close but i can put my hand 1-2 cm from light np with no discomfort, have rigged up 2 pc fans and have more ready for when they get abit bigger, any tips or advice much appreciated pics attached

Your homework is paying off.

16 inches is about perfect for those plants. Maybe lower that to 8-12" or less when they become more mature depending on airflow and the temperature of the room. I recommend a small Scrog (or at least topping with some LST) with that light so that you can maximize yield in the smaller area that it covers. Try not to let temps get over 85 degrees and humidity is perfect 55-65%. Keep up the good work they look good so far!

by the way don't let them veg too large since they're from seed it will take them a long time to start flowering and you could easily end up with plants that crave more light than the 250watt can dish out.

thanks i hated homework in school but can gladly watch 2 hour long you tube vids on growing check on them every few mins cant resist ha, eh whats srog/lst ? i have a temp/hum thing never goes lower than 70 or higher than 80, hum 55-65, i could add more lights pref something that wont add heat not sure what ventilation is like tbh im using rigged up fans atm cant really put holes in the closet as dont want the light to be shinning it has small gaps and cracks stuff and i keep the outside room window open not sure if it helps. oh how do i know when to water them im compleatly guessing atm tbh
