Hello all, I have been a conisouer of cannabis for years and now i thot i would try to experment with some medicne of my own.

I have a Closet budget grow. I have 6 - 32 watt cfls. 9 plants started on 3-10-09 and 2 plants started on 3-20-09. 18-6 cycle

The closet is about 6 feet tall 3 feet wide and 1 foot deep. The top, were the plants are kept is 18 inches tall 3 feet wide and 1 foot deep.

I am using mircle grow soil with nutes for 3 months i water every other day. Is there any reason why the plants are having so much trouble with ther growth? I have seen plants on RiU forums my age that are double or even triple that of mine here are my first pics

Pls leave comments and help a New comer out.

Thank you for your time

Looks okay , but remember. most people don't use MG because it's difficult to work with. did you use a soil that has nutes in it from seed? that could be a problem.

I noticed you don't have any 6500 (blue spectrume) Cfl's. might wanna put in 2-3 of those.

Also could be genetics , as this plays an important role.

I did a couple grows with CFLs, 4 plants each time and I ended up with about an ounce dried. I used 4 150 watt CFLs in aluminum clamp worklights and the low temp allowed me to get them right down on top of them. If I had to guess I would say you're not getting enough light from the 32 watters and what you are getting isn't being directed straight at your plants. Are you fertilizing at all? I have had great luck with Black Gold organic potting soil and Earth Juice fertilizer for both veg and flower. I'd recommend heading down to Home Depot and picking up some of the 150 watt bulbs at the very least. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Awesome man Im glad to hear you have invested in some quality soil. I was just about to suggest that you get some! I use Fox Farm and I couldnt be happier!!
Also, a very important thing you must do when growing marijuana is maintain proper PH. You can get a cheap chemical test solution that is also pretty accurate.
And I would recommend cutting down on the waterings. Every other day is probably too frequent at that size. Get a moisture meter. It is not crucial to get a moisture meter, but it will help you know exactly when to water.
One last thing, after you transplant into the fox farm soil I wouldnt use any nutrients for a couple weeks. The soil has all the nutrients your babies need right now.
Good luck and ask any other questions you have

Nice, more light is always appreciated by the plants Im sure.
What strain is that? Or is it just some bagseed you found?
Good luck

I'd highly suggest upping the wattage as you go, using the smaller wattage bulbs around the base of your plant. 42's and 68's just make so much more sense. Know that with that many plants, you will need them too. Invest in a few of those and you will see your plants take off.
Did you say these plants were in veg for three months now?? Although they appear healthy, they do seem quite small. At 3 months old, you definitely would need to be feeding them nutes.
As for suggested medical strains, I found this some time ago on of RIU's threads.

MS Neuropathic Pain / Urinary Incontinence: Trainwreck, Super Silver Haze), NYCD and Sour Diesel. For severe pain, concentrates may be required.
ADD: Focus: Catalyst, Billiejack, Jack Herer, C99, Thai, Haze, Elvis, Dogsh!t.....

Social Anxiety: Romulan, NL#5, Hindu Kush, OG Kush, Bubba Kush.

Alert, Cerebral: AK-47, Dankouver, Cambodian X Orange Peako.

Anti Depress & Anxiety, Sleep: Blue Moonshine, Jack Herrer, M-39, Herijuana
Joint and Muscle Pain: Legends Ultimate Indica, UBC Chemo x Grapefruit.

Joint and muscle pain: Blueberry
White Russian-ak-47 x white widow-excellent for chronic pain and insomnia-M39 for chronic pain-Peace BigD
I use Original Blueberry for M.S. Chronic pain, muscle spasms and muscle cramping. I also use California Orange, believe it or not, for spinal pain relief. Does anyone know if the blueberry/Lowryder is as good, or close to Original Blueberry. I would like to grow some if it is.
i have tried blueberry of a couple sorts including what i do believe was actually dj short bb and it was a 9 or higher outa 10 for pain relief.
Catalyst: is good for Anxiety and Depression. I don’t really get the munchies from her though.
Purple Kush: helps my stomach and bleeds off my stress/anxiety

Slow train: ruins me for a good long while and my back pain just melts away
Romulan-munchies, sleep inducer
AK-47-pain relief, day dreaming, anti stress

Try and find some low-rider plants that you can prune well, like certain strains of kush if you can prune it good and at the right time.

No, they are not 3 months old. They were started from seed march 10th. The soil had 3 months of nutes in it. Sory for the confusion

Hey whats up dude,

I know they already said this. But just to make it clearer. You prolly needed some 6500K (blue spectrum) bulbs. There responsible for Vegging and getting the girls started and making them grow. When its time to flower, then you can switch the bulbs to a 3000k or 2700K (red spectrum) and let those bulbs get the buds started and you'll see your girls getting some nice flowers. after like a month or more of flowering, depending on how you want your bud, your good to go bro. If your using both kinds of bulbs at the same time then thats all good too dude, alot of ppl do it that way, the more light the more the girls will love you haha. Let us know if you need anything, were all here to help eachother homie. ENJOY!

peace!

My mistake....everything looks fine. When you see other grows on RIU that appear double or triple the size, don't sweat it. It likely has to do with the strain.
As you read about nutrients here, you will see countless kinds of nutes being referred to as being "best." There are so many that work wonderfully. I've just begun to use organics and I'm new to all of it as well.
I'd reccomend trying to find a local hydro shop. They will give you some literature to better assess what you can use-- (at least my local shop did)
Your plants are definitely ready for some light nutes. Good luck to you.

your gonna have many differnt sized plants because of the makeshift pots you have and most likely going to have to adjust height or make a grow box. the smaller plants might not get enough light because the plants in the bigger pots will grow taller maybe.

Ya i figured a safe way would be to buy some bathroom vanity sets that have 3 sockets for lights and put duel adapters on both simple and easy to wire
