Hey guys, looking to soon start my first grow.. ever. I’m learning new things everyday in hopes of making this a successful grow.
I’ve got lots of questions and appreciate all the tips you guys might provide.

my grow will consist of;
4x4 ac infinity grow tent
Ac infinity 6’ fan
6’ Terrabloom filter
SolarXtreme 500LED light
Gorilla cake autoflowers
5gal pots

I plan on using FoxFarms dirty dozen fert. kit (still a little confused about when to use this)

and i’m thinking about using FoxFarms Aqua Forest with a pocket of fox farm happy frog as my soil.

Does anyone have any experience doing this?

what will the feeding schedules look like and which ferts should i be using?

How far should i set the light for the seedling?

EDIT:

Looking into LST techniques. Stumbled upon tie-down and screen of green methods.

can someone share knowledge on this?
Right now I’m leaning more into trying the tie down method.
How soon should i start lst on autos?

sure thing. Theyre on sale right now too.

Do purple lights do something different to your yields?

If you're gonna spend that kind of money don't buy that light personally either go MIGRO or Green sunshine company check out their pages before purchasing that light

That's unfortunate not heard good things about California lightworks no way you can return it you could get a much better light for around same money not trying to piss on your bonfire before you start but I'm not sure that light will flower a 4×4

The reviews i’ve read about this light say its perfect for 4x4 tents. I want to say California lightworks itself recommends it to be used in a 4x4 and 5x5.

I hope I'm wrong but all the research I did came bad on clw but I'm sure you'll get a good grow from it but you could have got so much more for your money and have you looked into organic living soil grow best and cheapest way to grow most growers eventually change check out Leeski's grow dairies on here I pick his brain from time to time as his grows are always top quality

Migro is the only company I have found that has a full 3 year guarantee if it breaks in that time tou send it back and get a new unit no questions asked Shane from Migro also has a YouTube channel where he tests lights independently light companies send their lights to him to test as they know he will be honest

My only advice with hot soil like FF is to mix it with some inert drainage material like pumice, rice hulls, perlite or sand. If you have additional dry amendments, you should probably be careful about just dumping them right in because that soil mix is ready-to-use. Get ur seedlings started first. Im sure your mix will provide the nutrients to start. Since youre growing organic, a lot of this is based on experience and observation of the plant…

i’ll check it out. If the California lightworks light shipped out already i’ll just keep it for this grow.

Yeah all i’m reading is that its too hot and has burned seedlings, which is why i’m thinking about doing a pocket of happy frog. I’d like to add perlite as well. But i dont know what food schedule to follow if i mix so many things.

Like i said, feeding with organics is less scientific, so you have to watch the plant for signs that it is healthy and promote that by giving the plant a diverse variety of foods and bacteria that will allow the release of nutrients. This plant does not need heavy salt fertilizers to thrive.
A well-aerated, bacterially active soil will grow fantastic plants. Its a process, but this step of you trying organics will allow you to understand the plants’ needs(with some trial and error). Dont give up. You will be glad you did this.
