Ok, first off, I don't know what type of weed it is, and I can't find out where the seeds came from. My dad found out I was growing a pot plant, so he gave me the seeds he's had for a while. He tried growing over a year ago, and couldn't get the seeds to germinate, so I don't expect him to remember where he got them, but he handed them to me in a nifty little seed capsule.
Anyways, it took over a week for the first seed to germinate, and about 5 days for the next one. There's still a bunch I'm waiting and hoping to see if they'll germinate.
I included pictures of the seeds I got. A picture of the second seed after it popped, just before I planted it. And there's a picture of what both seeds are planted in.
The first one is in potting soil. The second is in peat moss.
I don't expect sprouts to pop up quickly, since germinating took longer than usual. The first seed has been in soil a couple days now and hasn't shown any signs of development.
