First grow flowering issues

It's a Vision northern lights auto that sprouted on June 10th, so almost 7 weeks old now. It was showing pistols as well at week 3 but I think I slowed down the bud growth by switching over to bloom nutes at the first sign of a pre flower and caused some toxicity issues.

DSCN1691.JPGHere's my bigger NL auto on day 25.... Temps ranging from 72f during the dark period to 84f with the lights on - 22/2 photoperiod...Fed her veg nutes twice (Dr. Earth 3-3-3), foliar fed 1-2 times a day throughout veg with 1/8th str nutes, 1/2 str silica blast every other watering and hit her w/ a compost tea a couple days into flowering...using 6.4-6.6 pH (adjusted) well water in soil. 3 gallon smart pot, started in solo cup and transplanted early.

Really interested to see how yours turns out...
This is my first indoor grow and I'm having some issues and I hope someone can point me in the right direction on how to fix it.
Indoor grow in ffof soil with ffof nutrients once a week 1/4 strength.

Watering every 2-3 days with R/O water mixed with 2.5 ml of cal/mag per gallon, temps have been in the mid 85s during the day and 75 at night on a 20/4

Northern light autos micro grow on the 2nd week of flowering. I did make the mistake of switching over to bloom nutrients as soon as I saw a pre flower. Thanks for any help I can get!

Also was wondering if anyone has any idea if these NL autos are a good size for being two weeks into flowering and if they will still have time to fatten up a bit.

Here's my blue Himalayan diesel auto. It's been growing under the canopy of my other plants so it hasn't had much light. Small little bugger but I'm really excited about the strain because I love blueberry and diesel, seems like the little bud I'll get from it will be sweet

a good way to grow autos is the same pot start to finish just leave plenty of room for top dressing the seedling as it grows up and stretches. 3gal pot is max 2 gal works good and SMART POTS ARE A NO NO FOR AUTOS.you want them to get a little root bound. @ayr0n you might want to either unroll the smart pot and put it in a regular pot without breaking up any roots or wrap the sides in plastic. not being a photo period plant means you only have a short time to work.

I've been seeing that thread as a sticky, but I haven't checked it out yet, but I will now. I'm kinda curious what can be done in a solo cup, not sure why I haven't browsed that thread yet lol. I hada ffriend that grew like 30 4 foot plants all in solo cups years back. It was crazy, he never flowered them though, he was just vegging them during the winter in a cold basement with one 40 Watt floro hung on the ceiling, the stems were as thick as my thumb, no side branches, just one straight stalk with leaves. He had no idea how to grow and these plants were all green with no problems at all! Needless to say, I was pretty damn impressed. This guy had never grown before and didn't know that a plant that size in a cup that small was impressive, he thought it was normal. The strain was Tangerine kush, he gave me a clone of it and I grew it for about 10 years. The best, most hardiest, best smelling, high yield, the perfect strain. And I lost it during my move :(

Damn thats tragic, too! All the best clones eventually are lost to unnecessary things. I can't seem to find a seed of Tangerine kush, let alone a clone. It sucks I've been lookin for a long time

It's almost impossible to find them, at least impossible for me . I haven't found a seed vender that has them, or if they did they're never in Stock, it sucks! Maybe it was clone only but I'm not sure. It was literally the Holy grail for me in every aaspect of a plant. I dialed it in after a year and it was just perfect. Buds the size of my arm with no veg time in a flood table. One ounce buds!

Thanks lava. Using an Apollo Horticulture 600w, started on MH and switched to HPS when they started flowering...Mine are getting a little droopy and the bottom leaves are starting to yellow at the tips - did your yellowing start from the bottom and work it's way up the plant? How are they doing now?

Hey man, I'm not sure what you mean?? What's wrong with smart pots w/ autos and why wrap plastic around them and deprive them of oxygen and airflow in the root zone?

Yeah mine started from the bottom and started to work its way up the plant. It was caused by adding to much tiger bloom that caused a nitrogen lock out.

My NL is looking good now 12 hours after feeding my NL 2.75ml of big bloom and a very small dose of Tiger bloom! Her buds have almost doubled in size!!! I'll get a picture up later today.

Hell yeah that's awesome man. So you just had to cut back on the tiger bloom a little and she bounced back? Did you take a break from nutes and use just water for a couple waterings or nah?

Once I noticed the tips were starting to show some burnt to them and the lower leaves were turning yellow at a fast rate. I did a full flush and 2 straight waterings after the flush before I resumed nutrients. I had to learn the hard way that with autos less is always more! I was giving them way to much tiger bloom and that was even at 1/2 strength. Bumped it down to 1/4 strength and that seemed to cure all the issues I was having. Hope you get it figured out man! These autos are picky they don't give you much time to recover from problems.

Im not convinced this is overwatering. Ive been having the same issues with a couple outdoor plants of mine. Both are showing yellowing leaves that eventually brown up on the edges, start at the bottom leaves. I am feeding a balanced 20-20-20 feed at 1 tps per gallon when I feed. One plant was on straight water for 3 waterings but the issue continued. I also let that sample plant get dry enough between waterings that it wilted. Based on that it can only be a nute deficiency of some sort because it fed it no food and let in get dry before watering. I think the plants are hungry and growing and not getting enough food. My water is well water, pH is mid 6's.

You want autos to get rootbound that cant happen in a smart pot. it could be why they are't flowering yet.
