First Grow/First Journal:White Castle,Train Wreck,LA Woman,Lemon Skunk-CFL 900w

so heres todays update...more shit news,again..this time a shelf colapsed and the humidifier fell directly onto my trainwreck and split one of the main top branches right down and almost off the main stem,it was hanging on by a sliver of stem..before posting a thread for some advice and reassurance,i held it in place and tied it back together with gardening twine..after posting and hearing many people saying to tape or bandage it & what not,i should be ok having tied it..

as far as the ballast thing,i just cant swing the 200 bucks right now so ill just have to veg them for another 2-3 weeks and see where im at..by then the flowering light prob should be resolved. but now i dont know if my exhaust is strong enough to keep the closet cool with a 400w hps in there..i was told for an area my size(4sqft) i should go no more than 250w..any ideas guys??

how mant cfm is your exhaust fan and how tall is the area? and yes a 400w may be a little over powered for your grow room, but you can use it you will just have to upgrade the fan and maybe move it up in the box till the light is just warm on your hand at canopy level.

165cfm..i think like the lowest one they had..but im tight on cash right now,rent is a bitch.so buying another is kinda not an option.the space is almost exactly 23in wide,24in deep,and like 4-5 ft tall,but wit the hood in there i can only hang it so far from the canopy. the exhaust is like right between the hood and the canopy,and i have a 8in desk fan blowing between also..since its in my closet on the 2nd floor of a apartment building,and cant get andy kind of fresh air intake,theres not much more i can do to drop the temps when the hps is in..i dont mind much having to get a 250w ballast and bulb(i have to get another anyway). just my babies are real bushy and i wanted maximum yield. is is possible to pull the estimated 400-500g per sq meter with only a 250hps??

a 250 watt should be fine for that small of a space, maybe even a little over powered still. i run a 100w hps with 2 5000k 28w cfls and 2 42w 2700k cfls anf my buds are pretty stiky and dank, my box is 24 x 24 x 48, so around the same size. i was going to up grade to a 250w hps for my center light but the 100w is kicking ass so ima do one more flower cycle before i upgrade.

niice..how many plants do you have in that size area at a time? and how much do you pull off that 100w hps??..yeild is my main concern with my current grow. i want to make back the money i spent on it ya know

since the last post they have been doing muchh better. i trimed all the crispy parts, gave them lots of water,and let them soak up a nice long day of light. they perked right up and slowly started to get new growth.
the trainwreck with the split stem is doing ok, its not looking as good as she used to,but shes not getting any worse either..looks good,just not as vigorous as she was. but im sure she will pull through. last night i tied them all down,and today they looked great

+rep on the recovery man, they loooking very nice. im not sure how much im going to pull of on a full cycle, i have a couple plants in there right now that i didnt veg long enough and i never put my moveable shelf in so they stretched like a mother fuccer, also one got phos deff on me and it almost killed it before i could cough up the change to get some decent nutes, i have 4 seedlings and 4 clones in my veg box that are waiting for the flower box to clear out, ill put 4 in at a time, with a one to two month veg cycle they should put out some decent yields this next time around.

yeah ill be cutting the last 2 plants down some time in january, ill pop a couple pics up of the one i just cut. soon as i sync my phone up.

this one was a headband clone from the local dispensiary, i got this from a guy that veged it for like a week after he got it then turned it to 12/12. the root system was almost non existent, it might yeild like 5 grams dry, its on its 3rd day of drying right now, ill trim it and cure it for like a week after a day or 2 more of drying.

looks like some piff...im really trying to pull max yeild from what i got,im crossing my fingers for like 40-50 gs per plant..dno if this is realistic or not,but like i said..fingers crossed

yeah like i said the guy switched it to 12/12 too early.

niice,what other strains you got going?..and how does you white castle look.i know she is one of the best looking of the 4..very lush and bushy,lots of foliage and healthy as a muhfucka lol

wish i could say..its a pretty new strain i think from august of this year..i read as much about it as i could with it being so new,and i was sold on the pain killing properties of this white widow x ice hybrid. i havnt seen any smoke reports just yet,but i have seena few WC grows goin. so we will know soon enough

ak 48 ice wondr woman and white castle check out da pics so far check out my journal i got going most of the nirvana seeds are have an ice father so alot of similarities in these strains with all the shit ppl talkabout nirvana i got all fem seeds all germed all grew great except one ice that grew 4 tops from seed no topping lol also i have some local strains seem to be sativa dominant which excites me i love sativas just they take so long to finish but dude u need to watch out with 1000 ballast to a 4000 watt light u could have burned down the house lol

and actually the white castle is smaller than other strains the ak wonder woman and ice all bigger all plants look amazing the white castle is a medical strain used for pain very couch lock stone i hear also there are different phenotypes so that is exciting as well
