First grow ever!

I don't know much at all about growing, but I sure love smoking!!
I planted her in soil March 19 (Jack Herer) indoor in a tent and she seems to be coming along nicely?
Question.. I have 2 "blurple" lights from Amazon with the veg & bloom flip switches that I started veg with and added a S1000 SpiderFarmer 1 week into flower.
Should I be using bloom (red) cycles on both, just 1 or keep both switches on?
Respectively they are 1000w and 600w (I know not actual voltage) but I use them for for side lighting than anything.
Any, all help is welcome please!!!

You might have a magnesium deficiency building. They look really good. Good job.
Thank you!!
I started adding Cal Mag last week, new to the whole thing lol, next go round she gets it the whole time.
Been using Micro, Bloom and Grow the whole time though & I have I think about a month left maybe a little less.. keep feeding her for two weeks and then stop nutes or stop now? Will it affect my yield or quality at this point?

The red is for bloom blue for veg, but ive had lights with the veg/bloom switch. I've tried both ways and it did way better with both on. Mine was a shit old led, so it sucked, but it made a noticeable difference. As a side note, I dont think you girl needs any more N for the rest of the grow. That SF1000 is a good economy QB, I own the mars tsw 2000, and love it. Good luck pal, your gonna be a hooked grower for life now...JOIN US! lol.

By N you mean nutrients period? Just water and Cal Mag or just straight water?
I promise you I'm hooked. Ever since I saw those first leaves poke out I became a grower. I spent hours every night poring over this forum for information and looking at people's stuff before I bought anything.
I started with KISS (keep it simple stupid) and then I lost my mind. Got proper fabric pots, the good light. Then I added bigger intake fan, exhausted it outside the basement with ducting while my wife stood mouth agape. I can promise you I have killed evey single plant I ever owned, including a cactus. They don't need water for years and I killed it! I'm so proud of this one, I just want to do more & better.
I think starting my next one with the Spider Farmer from the get go will be a huge boost.

Give one more bloom feeding at 1/2 strength. Then from that point on just water. A lot of people insist on RO or distilled but that’s unnecessary.

Here's where I come clean on a dirty, horrible secret, please don't tell
I have been using tap water the entire time, but filtered from my fridge. I have not once measured the PH of the soil.
I monitor temps and humidity like a crazy son of a bitch.
I just make sure the water sits in my tent under the light for about 8-12 hours to shed the chlorine before I water her. Again I know PH is utmost, be gentle lol!

holy shit did you write my biography. Lol yes it happens to us all, and I fucking torched many plants in my time. With cannabis you can't wait for your end results so you care for her so much. Keep it up, I love to learn and teach others what i have learned, with humble kindness. I will only give advice in things I truly know, work.

Anyheeeew....rambling on...N is Nitrogen, the first number on the fertilizer you are using. Use as little as possible (more in veg, less in flower). I bring the nitrogen way down after the first 3 weeks of flower (after the stretch then heavy bud set). I feed my girls heavy every 2 weeks with a blooming fertilizer (15-30-15) and add in half strength fish emulsion which is gold in flower (0-10-10) in veg im like 24-8-4 every 2 weeks (approx not totally sure at the moment)

Glad to see I'm not the only one torching other greenery lol..
I appreciate the time taken- I will absorb, write notes and keep it all.
I don't like asking the same question twice regardless of people's patience, retention is key.
Excuse my noobness but all 3 of my nutes seem to have Nitrogen. Am I missing something or should I be using different ones come flower? I attached a picture of the brand I am using (in Canada if it makes a difference)

Dude we all have dirty secrets. I've been growing for about 10 years, and I only use tap water. I'm fortunate our water is top notch though 7.1-7.2 constant, usually barely have to Ph water

And what @hotrodharley said, RO for flush is not necessary. In fact I have read those that say its not good to do...i didn't follow that rabbit hole. opinions and egos run rampant in here sometimes. The only way is experience.

My dirty secret is that I use mostly schults and MG for all my grows, only torched it once...my first grow a decade ago....my other plant torching was in my moms gardens....sorry mom. But I also have my own vermicompost bin (this is a really good supplemental fert in veg imo) i add it to my soil at the beginning, them verm tea at light switch, first day of flush, then phd water for 2 weeks, cure(MOST IMPORTANT STEP TO NOT HAVE CRAP TASTING WEED)

I've also heard advanced nutes are great. I usually use Fox farms trio for some of my grows...but once again I'm gonna swear...i use MG and SHULTZ with them....ima get roasted by someone lol

That's awsome my sister is in Calgary (Toronto for me)
Glad I'm not the only neurotic reader either lmao. I read books non stop- or did, until I started this grow, and now all I read about is improving my quality and yield :) Fortunate enough right now with this bullshit virus going around that our hydro is down to lowest K/W possible until October, curious to know what I get nailed for afterward.

Everyone has their own tips and tricks, and I've seen some pissing contests on some posts here for sure. I appreciate good advice and thanks for sharing your knowledge!!

Curing - we have a cold room/wine room in the basement built into the house.
Think that's good to cure in the jars?
Once I cut her down and hang dry in the tent I planned to drop the buds in mason jars and sit there for a week or two

I live in same city as your sister. I thought I hated reading until I realized I fucking hate fiction...if its useful knowledge i cannot stop, lol. And your light doesn't pull that much hydro. A trick is to run your lights at night, dark through the day. Its charged by supply and demand....demand is low at night. Hope that helps...im half Scottish, my mom taught me cheap lol.

She looks beauty!!!
I figured to do it later at night with the ebb and flow hydro rates and it's cooler too at night, either way we get slammed here, hydro is insane in ON.
With 3 lights, 3 fans, a dehumidifier, should be something lol.
Do you think I'll need those blurples with the S1000?
I legit have them hanging sideways on opposite sides off the tent just below canopy level, while the spider is directly above..

That is the perfect location. I think you just oversimplified what you need to do but yes. Get the tiny cheap hygrometers from amazon or aliexpress it will save you from moldy weed. I always cure in glass put a hygrometer in each jar. Big pickle jars if your cheap or the large Mason jars...smaller jars and spaghetti jars (super cleaned...important). After about 5-10 days (depends on humidity and weather outside my house....small branches snap, not bend...weed is crunchy on the outside softish to squeeze, but should only crunch a little) I throw mine into jars at 70-75% humidity, and burp them daily and burp less as humidity drops...there are good write ups all over here. Just take the advice and find a common variable that has proven successful. Be careful, if you are over 70 humidity and don't burp her. mold, you will get or weed that smells like ammonia. I lost about an ounce once. Shes smokeable at around 70, just a bit moist. I like 60-65 for smoking. I cure for 2 weeks min, but usually around 6 weeks for dank smoke...for my own and its fucking smooth and I rarely cough...just when its a bong hit lol. I only use one jar at a time so the other stuff cures longer and gets, just better. It's good in that state for a year or 2.....i wonder if anyone has ever had any left after that long....lmfao...i doubt it.

Thats a lot for one light. I would run the SF, and the blurples on bloom, personally if I was concerned on HYDRO cost. Otherwise I'd just light that bitch up for bud. You won't get huge growth now. Next time grow at least 2 and get them a bit bigger before switch and use 5-10 gal Fibre pots. I use 5s.

The SF would be adequate for one med/small plant, but the red light really boosts it too...The SF is full spectrum but Is a bit light on the red spectrum IMO
