First grow ever, ww auto + auto amnesia

Yo...

So tomorrow will be day 56 & harvest times drawing closer! The buds are swelling up nicely and look like the real deal now! I'm checking the trichomes every day, they look like they are kinda cloudy now. I'm hoping they swell up even more in the last 2/3 weeks or however long I've got left. Breeder says 70 days, & I don't think it will be far past that tbh! My count is not from germination tho, it's from when they popped above soil! Is this right or should I add couple days on? They were in dirt for roughly 4 days before I counted day 1, if that makes sense?! Anyway enough rambling here's a pic or 2.

Any thoughts on harvest time? Does anyone think they will be ready in 2 weeks?

closer pics of the buds in non HPS lighting would give a much better view for gauging harvest time bro.

Ok no probs man. I'll grab one after lights out! I just don't want to harvest too early, or late! Would be a shame to make a mistake now. One is in a littler pot coz I only had 5 11l pots (one seed was a freebie so just threw it in!). It looks slightly ahead. Today is 8 weeks to the day, they are approx 10 weeks, or so dinafem say!

looks good so far and youve still got time so its no rush.
10 is good 12 is better ;) breeders tend to "shorten" the flower time in descriptions but if you take autos to 80-90 days they get much better yields and smells IME

Yo guys,
Here's 2 pics with no hps. This is the one I feel is furthest along. It was planted in a smaller container, as I've said, just because I ended up with a freebie from 'tude. Prob shuda kept it for next run, but hey ho! Some wee hints of purple on the ends of the leaves now. Still haven't noticed any amber trich's yet, but nearly all pistils on the top are reddy brown, just some white on the lower buds. Thanks for all the help so far guys! You've been great!!

Quick update. Day 69:
I've harvested one widow this morning at lights out, the one that was in the smaller pot. Looked ready & had already tried a dried tester bud I cut off on Monday. Was pretty nice so I think it's gonna be great when cured properly! The rest of the widows I'm gonna give an extra week, so it will be bang on 11 weeks from germination to harvest! I've hung the harvested plant on string in my tent room as I've nowhere else to put it! Should this be ok? The loft hatch is open slightly for fresh air.

NICE! that last widow looks dense! smart to harvest one and wait on the other, that way you'll be able to tell whether you like taking the strain out longer or chopping earlier.

Yo guys! Thanks for comments! They are soooo dense now! Honestly they are lovely! Smell is strong, but kinda suttle if u know what I mean! It isn't like a dank cheese odour, but def still strong! Was in the tent handling them yesterday, then at asda later on I was like "holy shit I'm stinking of weed!" Lol. Harvesting the rest of the widows this Sunday (day 77), the amnesia still looks a good way behind! Also gonna make some rosin with the lower bud, never tried a dab so just gonna try it see how it works out with the return. Would love to make ha ash with the trim if I had enough.

did you keep your light a 250w all the way through? Iv jus started my new crop. I bought a 400w dimable ballast, I'm running with a 250 w MH bulb at the moment, gonna change to a HPS 400w when they start to flower. I'm growing think different. I made some iso shatter from my first crop trim, was really east and its turned out great! Its gloden and seethrough and rock hard untill you warm it. I can tell you how I did it if you wanna try it out... Let me know.

Yo dude! Yeah I just kept mine 250w because of the summer. I think 400w will be ok next grow in winter, lights on at night, off thru day. I'm chopping this weekend but honestly I've got some cracking nugs with the 250w! I'll prob do a few 250w auto grows between photo grows. I would love to hear how you made the ISO. Was going to make hash with ice etc from a guide I saw on this forum somewhere, but I'm always open to suggestions!

be good to know final yeild mate... I got 110g from my CFL grow! Was real happy for a first attempt.. Lovely smoke too.. Ben curing for 3 weeks so far! Iv got a dimable ballast with a 250 w MH bulb at the mo for my small seedlings bout 12 days in! Crazy goin through it all again. Hopefully if temps allow I will be turning up to 400 w with a hps bulb in couple of weeks.

So this morning I harvested the four remaining widows at day 76! I've hung each on a seperate line in my cupboard. The amnesia is behind a bit so I've left it in. Also some of the lower nugs of the widows could plump up a little more so I've threw them back in tent for another week or so. Is this a good idea? The small widow in the small pot I already harvested weighed in at 18g dry. Not great but I was only going to do 4 widows & 1 amnesia originally as I only had 5 11l pots, so anything atall off it was a bonus! The smoke is really good with almost a lime hint to it! The rest are probably double in size of that one so I'm hoping to get few oz when dry! I'll keep anyone who's interested updated with final yield etc! So stoked with this for a first attempt! So, after 7 days hung up the widow plants are dry and I've put them into mason jars to cure. The amnesia will be chopped on Wednesday. I hung each plant up seperate so I could weigh them individually. I already got 18g from the small one. Rest are: 46g, 45g, 51g & 53g! Total 213g! I can't believe it! I've got eight 1/1.5l mason jars full of dank smelling, frosty buds! Some smell slightly citrusy and some smell more skunky! Nice stone, will be much nicer when cured properly! Once the amnesia is dry I will post total weight for everything.

For anyone who says autos aren't worth it, I would totally disagree, coz I'm pulling half oz colas off a 250w on my first attempt! Here's one plant trimmed and going in to cure (51g). image.jpg

Well done man, everything looks really good. I just started my first auto grow. As im finishing up a Kripple Roulette by krippling seeds in week 7. Ill be glad if i get half of your result! Impressive!

Shiva take it from somebody that is as antsy as you at least! I'm 11 days into my 1st auto grow and have tiny girls, but in the last 24 hrs have seen a big difference. I remember reading somewhere here that they are building the bottom right now and the top will take off before you know it. Be as patient as an oyster. These plants know what to do. We can only do so much so fast and then you just have to let them do their thing. At leas this is what I've gotten from here in the last few day... DON'T GIVE UP!!!...:weed:
