First Grow Ever, So Far So Good

so after alot of reading and....looking around at alot of others grows/how to's i gave it a shot. ima try to post pics. but this is how i went about my grow so far.

six 1/2 pint tumblers glasses, verm,brf,distilled water.(dry verm ontop of mixture) no p/c, put jar lids on bottom of pot,alumnum foil layer, more jar lids on top, and glasses on top with 2 layers of foil wrapped around top. some water in pot and steam sterlized for about 90mins, adding water every once in a while.

after 90 mins,took pot of stove, tapped lid to pot just to keep inside sterile. let sit in closet for one day. closet is very cool so i know inside of jars are cool.

knocked up jars in shower,lol, figured it'd be the cleanest place. of course sprayed lysol several times, but lighter,gloves,mask,pot, and needle in shower,sprayed lysol again waited awhile, then went in. i used a full 10cc needle of B+, 4 holes in each jar. put jars under bed in a shoe box..after 2-3 days my temps were still too low. sooo i wrapped up the jars in a sweater and then wrapped up shoe box with some sweatpants in a drawer with more sweat pants. after a few days. BAM, lots of white stuff.

still got to wait a lil more for full colonization, then dunk and roll and,birth..... this is all being done with none on in my house knowing about it. my fruiting chamber is gonna be a lil hard to hide. my closet,where i'd like to put them, get as low as 55-60. i think i might get a ceramic heat emitter and christmas lights with a timer, or something not sure yet. any points guys/gals.

Actuall looks like the foil is his lid with the 4 small holes... In which case he would not want to remove the foil.

i know wat you both mean....the dry verm layer is supose to act like the "filter/lid". but the jars are in a shoebox,covers,wraped, and in a drawer,so im not sure how much fresh air it is getting. i kept the foil on to prevent any of the dry verm from spilling while inspecting the jars and to keep it a lil cleaner.

but since they're so close to full colin. maybe ill take the foil off and leave'em like that for like a week before dunk and roll........buts thanks for the pointer,always learning.
