First Grow Ever (Outdoor)

I've been lurking for a little so i figured i'd join and make a post. Today i decided to start growing my own, but i really have no prior knowledge. I have searched extensively on how to grow indoors, ourdoors, hydro, and just growing in general. I think i sort of have it down. I just purchased twenty seeds from a legit site from Amsterdam, and they should be arriving by friday. I spent all day today searching around my house for the perfect spot, and i found it. i dug a deep hole about 3x5 feet and about 2 feet down, then filled it with potting soil and mixed it with a bit of natural dirt. i then put stakes around it and put wire around them to protect it from critters. What other preliminary work should i be doing to it? How long until i can harvest it? Did i start too late in the year?

thank you in advance

I hate it when people use cups... use small pots, I use 6 inch pots. I only ever use one seed per pot. Make sure you use a good germing/rooting soil (I recommend Fox Farms Light Warrior), and keep it moist until you got sprouts. Keep them in your greenhouse sure for two weeks. It depends on where you live, how much sunlight they would get, how hot it is, how the season goes, the spot you picked, and how you take care of them. Try some fish emulsion when you transplant after two three weeks, and make sure to have some superthrive on deck ;).
