First Grow Ever. Need advice/opinions.

After looking at your pics, You do have a Cal-Mag issue. Have a look at the stems. They have a dark reddish/purple color. This is the main symptom. Also the yellow spots are turning brown. Add some bone meal to your soil. You can use MG soil. Just mix it 2/1 with peat moss(2 parts soil x 1 part peat moss). It is way too hot alone. Ofc add more pearl-lite. 2/1 with pearl-lite (2 parts soil x 1 part pearl-lite). You can buy 3 Cu-Y of peat moss at Lowe's for 12 bucks.

I’m using the potting mix not the soil which I believe has peat moss in it, should I add more still? How much bone meal should I add?

Andddddddd I have no power today and since yesterday morning, my baby has been in the dark for 12+ hours and will be through the night, anyone know how bad this is going to be?

Just get light on it ASAP.
You need a fuckton more light, no question about it.

Don’t listen to this. You have bigger problems than calmag, and this advice will overcomplicate things unnecessarily. You need lots more light, lighter watering and maybe a fan, if you don’t have one in the area already.

Mostly you need mas photons, señor.

Stick to the basics until you get your fundamental game down. Saul Goodman,

Michael, is correct. You need a lot more light. 5 CFLs is no where near enough. You should have no less than 5000 lumens per/SF. You can get 65 watt CFLs(3900 lumens each) at Lowe's for 16 bucks. Use 5 of those + the 5 you already have. Then you are getting in the range you need to be. Then see if the symptoms clear up. Low light can cause a wide range of issues.

It would be easier if I didn’t live in bfe, I’ve been to Lowe’s 5 times this past two weeks and only one time have they had cfls, and it was the only box they had, and it’s the ones I have now and Walmart is the only other place but they only sell black light cfls, I’m gonna have to order them

Get LEDs if you can, get the highest wattage ones, real wattage, not equivalent, that you can find. Good luck, Apollo.

Can you put them outside somewhere, or close to a window that gets a lot of sun until you can get more CFLs?

You may think it's funny but try led Walmart bulbs or philips and cut the circular cover off. But yes the sun will do for now

Outside is a definite no go zone, courtesy of the Bible Belt, worst case scenario tomorrow morning I am going to run to nearest town and get more cfls, nice thing about my car, 50 mpg so gas is no problem lol

And they are readily available these days. And no mercury, and they last longer, ....Srsly
Plants got light again, more pics now. It grew almost 3 inches in the past day and a half after transplanting to organic soil and it’s still a little moist so I haven’t watered yet, picking up more lights and installing tomorrow, will post more pics then. The spots on the leaves have stopped spreading by still clawing, some leaves are worse than others and it’s kinda in random spots, stems are still brownish/purple, should I do anything or just add lights, continue w light watering and wait? And it’s starting to get real stinky plus pistils showed themselves today too!

Get some more light on them and stick to just water until they get some time under the extra light.

A lot of strains I grow get red/purple stems and grow just great. Seems to happen more often as they get into maturity and are ready to flower.

By light watering I hope you don't mean small amounts of water often. Pot loves a wet/dry cycle so should always be watered to the point of runoff with pure water and allowed to run out about 20% extra when using harder tap water to flush excess minerals out enough so it doesn't build up in the pots.

Then let it get dry enough that the pot feels really light but the plant isn't drooping yet or maybe just beginning to droop. Then you know what it feels like to heft the pot and know when it needs a good watering.

Give it a good week to see how the plant reacts after you add more light. Wait and see works better than add more shit and pray. :)

Unless it's something critical and plant death looks imminent of course.

I normally do about 10% run off and I learned flushing with miracle grow is no go, possibly what caused nute burn

I just use a flat blade screw driver and pop the diffuser globes off. Got two dozen of them now and trying to figure out what they might be useful for. Suck for shooter glasses.

I do believe it is nitrogen toxicity now, pics including, new growth that was like green quickly turned dark and clawing still, what’s the best way to go about fixing this? Remember it was originally started in miracle gro potting mix so it still has time release nutes in it

Patience is the best cure for N tox, (and less nitrogen) they are going to be okay. Rock on.
