First Grow - DWC - Failure Imminent

Nothing new to update really just some pics. Rolling right along with flowering. Currently on day 30. Trichs are 90% clear still, 10% cloudy. Next grow I'll be using the FF big bloom as well and maybe even the solubles and the sledgehammer. Just thinking the buds should be bigger at this point in flowering.

Just a pic update here. I'm seeing totally cloudy trichs at this point and I'd say 20%-30% orange pistils. I'm aiming to harvest in 2 weeks and hoping to have a mix of cloudy and amber trichs by then. This week is the last week I'll be using nutes. Next week will be the flush week.

Made it this far successfully now all I can hope is that the harvest, drying and curing goes well.

If your really bent on fucking things up, I would dry your buds in the oven Nothing like a nice harsh hit of chlorophyll

So the title rings true...

I've since harvested, dried and cured this baby.



I let it dry for roughly 3 days. The room I dried in was the same I grew in. I controlled temp with a small heater fan and a humidifier on a timer. I monitored with a remote hygrometer/thermometer and kept things at 65-70 degrees and 50-55% humidity.

I cut everything down to manageable nugs once the buds were crispy on the outside but the stems would bend but not shatter. Then it all went into glass canning jars. For two weeks I opened them for roughly 1-2 hours a day, pulled out the buds and repackaged them every other day just so they wouldn't get compressed and stagnant.

Despite this the plant produced hard to smoke bud. It burns black and only produces a "meh" high. Nothing close to a $200 an ounce herb I was told I was growing.

I'm torn on what to assume here. It was my first grow and I'm thinking I fucked something up though I'm not sure exactly what. On the other hand I have no clue on the genetics of this plant so maybe thats the messed up part.

Only way to learn more is to try again...

I mean there can be so many variables on why your bud doesn't smoke well. Nutrients, Pulling to early or to late, disease, pest, bad mom or seed, etc... From the pics the shit looks bomb though. I would say well done and don't be so hard on yourself. It was your 1st grow and like you said, Only way to learn more is to try it again...

Appreciate the kind words. Yeah I'm not sure how it went bad but oh well. I may just turn it all into hash and start fresh in the new year
