Last night either during darkness or in the few hours the lights were on but I was asleep, one of the lower 5 fingered fan leaves fell off, I think it was pushed off by the branch under it coming up. here she's in the sun with two 26watt 6500ks on the shaded side just for the hell of it

another update, sorry, but went to walmart and got two clamp lights, a work light, and some bulbs, so now I have 6 26watt 6500k bulbs and 3 23watt 2700k bulbs on the plant, with two more 2700k bulbs not being used yet, obviously getting ready for flowering. Also nutes were applied for the first time today. half a teaspoon of big grow in a quart of water, the soil wasn't very very dry so that was enough.

HEY EVERYBODY.
I'm pretty sure I messed up topping the plant because I haven't noticed any new growth there and it's been four days.
I'm sure that this should make sense to some of you guys too- "+rep to anybody who just pops in and answers even just a few of the questions I've been asking with no response for over a week"

because people here love their fucking rep soooo much?

Had a friend over last night that used to grow, says he sees some female preflowers on mine, showed em to me, made my day haha. according to him I did top it correctly though

these aren't the best photos of preflowers, but photos of those are apparently very hard to get well. one should at least be visible in one of them. The preflower I got a photo of wasn't there yesterday, there are other preflowers as well. this preflower is at the very top.

On another note, I love how I have this set up so much, and I'm not calling HER:!: my baby anymore, she's my monster. 21st definitely seems like a good time to begin flowering. Like I said I don't want it getting too big, however, I wanna give it some time for the spot where I topped it to develop more for bud sites and whatnot.

Look at these pictures, really really really hoping for some advice, I'm not sure if you guys can tell, but I refresh all my subscribed threads every half hour or less, which is partly why I'm getting so pissed, but also I'm not getting advice and it seems like the hours of writing about my setup, taking photos, uploading them, and all that stuff is just totally useless because very few of you care enough to stop in and say "yeah it looks like you topped it right" or "you should transplant soon!" Granted I was getting help at the beginning, and I still appreciate it, specifically zkack and cannaboy and eokay.

oops, forgot the pics, they'll be up in just a few minutes

also, at 10 and a half inches, she's finally longer than my sex organ:mrgreen:

Looking very good :D. I think i see a V!! its exciting to see the first sign of a female. Keep up the good work!

No worries about the replies, same with my thread, but people are still looking and getting information even if they do not comment. Its nice to have a place to keep track of a grow, u can look back and see how far you've come.

I have checked out your grow tons of times, its nice to see the progress.. Hope u keep updating!

Edit:
Also , try adding more 2700ks if u havnt already. The light spectrum should be more redish-yellow than it looks like in the pic (for flowering).. If ur going to trans plant it id do it as soon as possible before it gets to far into flowering.. My big female is in a 7"x7"x5" pot and will prob get around 40" tall :D. Also Its kinda hard to top wrong, the way u topped it will focus on the lower colas. I topped my plant the same way u did https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/433778-first-time-cfl-check-out-3.html (check last set of pics) there was no new growth just focuses on the colas that are right near the top. I will have to take a better pic of my top*** ill try to get one today

Thanks dude, it's not flowering yet, still on 18/6, just showing preflowers because it likes me I guess. I've got 2 more 2700k bulbs at the ready for flower, and was at walmart today and noticed they have a 55 watt 2700k CFL in stock for 10 bucks! regular socket too. one thing I'm worried about as I prepare to send it into flowering is turning it hermie. I almost feel like it's likely, but I knock on wood every time and focus on something else. If it is hermie, I'll keep it for some smoke and to give the seeds another shot, since I'll have a big batch to work with in that event. I'm most worried about light leaks. I have one room I can put it in that nobody goes in that is already almost light proof, it would take just a few pieces of tape or wood, but it's the furnace room, musty air kinda, and I don't know about any potential insects. She's already spent some nights in there but once she came out with what looks to me like a bite so that was the end of that. I'm working on lightproofing the area it's in right now, and also thinking about converting a dresser I found for free on the side of a street into a flowering box, though ventilation has been so easy for me thus far and I'm afraid going into boxes and crap would add a new problem there.

Thanks for the response man, glad to hear it

Thanks man, went into my furnace room earlier and found some of that bubble-wrap type reflective material, so I put that up

here's some pics, next to the good picture of a preflower is the spot where I topped it, not a ball =)
think some bugs got at the top the night before last, judging by those damned bites, definitely gonna beef up security and light proof the windowsill thing so I can leave it there for night too. also I guess it's kind of obvious, I have a good amount of burnt tips, any new growers out there-keep your CFLs extremely close but move them little by little very very often or that's gonna happen.

I just realized, if it doubles its vertical height it'd be kinda difficult in the space it's in now. would it be okay to flower now?

Thanks. Yesterday two friends and I made a big batch of edibles, had some beers, long story short I passed out 20 minutes before turning the lights off and woke up just when the lights would be coming back on. Glad this happened still in veg but it makes things pretty evident-I need to light-proof the setup it's in and get a timer.

I think I'll put her to bed now, take her out around 10 am, then put her away at 10 tonight, then wake her up at 10 am again, and so on...:blsmoke:

EDIT: a few fun facts-

1.the plant's name is pativa, after a good buddy of mine named pat for no real reason, also it had to be a girl's name, and she seems sativa dominant.

2.after making this post but before editing it, I started cleaning my room so I could move some stuff around and have an easier time light-proofing. While cleaning I found 20 bucks.:weed:

3.there is no 3

Would love a response to this particular question as soon as possible because it might be happening in a couple hours. as stated, I've been able to see roots out of the bottom of this pot for a little while, can definitely transplant, but the questions
-do I risk stressing the plant too much if I transplant and switch to 12/12 the same day?
-If I didn't transplant, it would go rootbound pretty soon into flowering wouldn't it?
