First Grow Checklist~!

Im trying to think of everything and anything Ill need to start my first grow (waiting to move first). I've been reading and researching for a few months now and Im ready to get my feet wet.

Purchased Items;

SH Bubbleponics Complete Kit

Rockwool cubes, tray, tray insert (50slots), humidity dome, rooting gel, etc.
In addition I purchased a heating mat and thermometer for the mat hump

1000w NextGen Digital Ballast with LumenAire 6 Reflector (HPS and MH 1000w bulbs too!)

^^ Maybe 600w?? I want some serious flower power... just dont want enough to raise the temp of my room to 85+ degrees.^^

Looks fine but what you need to bear in mind is that this is your first grow and hydro is not as forgiving as soil. You need to think about the increased electricity cost (especially 1000w) vs how well you think you will do on your first grow. If you are really confident then go for it - if not, maybe do a soil grow first and learn from your mistakes (that you will probably make) along the way. You'll be amazed at how much you learn on your first grow and then you can put all of that experience gained into your next grows

Yeah I kinda of had my mind set on hydro, however it looks like Ill have soil plants as well. (friends handing me free seeds LOL A+)

Thoughts on starting rockwool cubes and going into a miracle grow 50% / perlite 50% mix? I havnt researched all soil options. I hear good things about coco too but have yet to research. Any share mixtures and their experiences?
