Hey guys. Just wanted to see what you thought of my plants. Both of these guys were seeded about 2 months ago, about a week ago I seen really tiny pods with microscopic pistils coming out so I wen't ahead and put them on 12/12 and switched their nutes to foxfarm tiger bloom. My setup is kind of a mess, overhead I have a 600W HPS lamp with no reflector, with a small fan blowing on it, and a CPU fan blowing the air out of the top. I was monitoring the heat for about a week after I moved these in and it stayed around 84-87F.

I couldn't get a good close up picture but what I'm seeing at the tops of the main branches, and between, are clusters of tightly packed small leaves with a several half inch pistils sticking out. Are these what the buds look like when they are beginning to grow? I'm having trouble imagining how this turns into the giant buds you see advertised by the seed company.

Tell me what you guys think I should do, tell me if you think anything is wrong with my plants.

Thanks guys!

Take a deep breath and keep doing what your doing, those plants look good... But you might wanna use big bloom in conjunction with the tiger bloom.

yeah man plants looking well good, you need to get yoself a reflector for that lamp though!
dunno what you meant about pistils before you started 12/12 though, are you sure you didnt just get mixed up with the secondary growth, or the two little green hair things that are at the nodes, lots of people get confused with that. any chance you could stick up a pic a bit more of a close up of one of the bud sites?

Thanks for the reply scottlesrocks. What I mean by pistils before 12/12, is I had seen little tiny nubs comming out behind the axial limbs. They were really small, about 0.25 cm, they had a single microscopic hairs comming out of them, the hairs were barely visible. Also the branch growth up the main stems were starting to alternate, I took those as signs my plants were ready to go 12/12. I tried for an hour with my coolpix to get some close up pics of the bud sites but I can't get it to focus. I'll try tonight once the lights pop on to get some shots of the bud sites, they are probably 1/4 bigger than they were when I took the pics in this post.

Thanks for the advise. I bought a 3 piece set of foxfarms nutes from the web, they were to be used with soil, not hydro. However, the tiger bloom can also be used in hydro. So I took a spray bottle and mixed in some of the big bloom and have been foliar feeding the plants. They seem to like it.

hey your plant look pretty nice. looks like you are on the right track i have a few suggestions that might help you get those huge buds you are looking for.

get an inline fan to properly vent your tent. depending on the size of your tent a 4inch or a 6inch would be adequate. this will get your temps down. if you flower with those high temps the buds will not be as dense as you would like.

get the soluble tripack from fox farm if you are planning to stay with that company. they will make a huge difference in the quality and quantity of your buds. they may seem expensive but trust me they will pay for themsleves in the first grow you use them.

i use all fox farm in soil and have never foliar fed with big bloom. big bloom is a catalyst and micro nutrient that helps in the uptake of the tiger bloom and the grow big.
