First grow, blackberry Kush in an aerogarden

I'm approaching the end of my first ever grow, and I'm already planning the next. I've learned a lot, but I couldn't be happier with the results for my first time. Comments and feedback are welcome here.

I grew 2x Feminized Blackberry Kush in an aerogarden bounty, supplemented with some additional lights during flowering. I also added an air stone + pump during flower. It worked out well for a small space, and the yield looks like it'll be plenty for my needs. Happy to post more about my super noob setup if anyone's interested!

More posts and pics to follow, but here's where they're at as of yesterday (week 9 flower).

Plants were started from seed directly in the aerogarden pods, with the little clear covers. 18/6 light cycle. GH Flora series nutes + their CALiMAGic supplement. I also flushed the aerogarden tank every week before adding nutes. Unfortunately, didn't take pictures of seedlings or veg, but nothing special was needed for veg. And the aerogarden made it incredibly easy to get started.

I moved them into my grow closet after ~5 weeks and switched to 12/12. I have two 36w leds (SANSI brand on Amazon) setup in my closet in clip on socket holders, plugged in to a timer. Here are some pics from right after the closet transition:EdoJ04tJLrVQl7yW7BFHLcejq3i1_img@1639514393743.jpgEdoJ04tJLrVQl7yW7BFHLcejq3i1_img@1639514398441.jpgEdoJ04tJLrVQl7yW7BFHLcejq3i1_img@1639578701898.jpg

Growth took off nicely I think during the first few weeks of flowering. I hadn't planned on it originally, but I needed to raise the light on the aerogarden to provide more vertical space. I picked what I thought would be a smaller strain, and maybe could have kept everything a little shorter if I'd done a better job training ¯ \_(ツ)_/¯ but I'm not sure, and this worked out fine for me.

I also added the aerovoir you see on the right here. I thought I was going out of town and needed a solution to water while away, but our plans changed. The aerovoir was extremely helpful anyway, esp later when the plants were thirstier.

It was also around this time I gave them a trim. I waited a bit long for defoliation, and will aim for sooner next time. This was at ~week 4 of flower.

Today is day 62 of flower, and I'm planning to harvest soon, just waiting on some more amber trichs, and trying my best to be patient.

I sampled a little yesterday (I pinched a little wet herb, directly in my vape, say what you want haha). I won't comment on the taste yet lol, but the high was sublime :blsmoke:

Nice. Have had great success with my Aerogarden. Even if you flip it over to a pot, the root structure will be well developed.
