Plants are looking great very kool. I did notice that your leaves are turned up. might want todo some research and find out what that means. how r your temps?

I was also trying to figure it out yesterday, but it didn't fit the idea or pictures at the GrowFAQ.

This looks kind of weird, but the outer parts of the leaves are folding up. Maybe it's the fan? I can observe it only on few leaves that are most ventilated, and as I wrote before, I have a one bigass ventilator ;-)

I'm not sure. I also bend them a lot and that might cause a slight burn at the leaves since I try to keep the bulb as close as possible (already got it further from the plant), but I guess after bending, some leaves end up pretty close to the bulb.

The bulb itself isn't hot so I'm not that worried about it though.

I made some closeups today so maybe I can get some interpretation on the effect.

Nevertheless it doesn't fit my interpretation of this article: GROWFAQ

Anyway, there is 1,25% of Magnesium in my nutrients. Same as in G/H Flora Grow.

Anyway, today I'll add fresh water only. Maybe some feedback will clear things up.

The folded leave closeup:

And another one:

After serious inspection I found this little bastard hidden beneath a bushy branch and a fan leave above him. Is this serious or just lack of light? Notice that the bigger leave also has some yellow marks on the outside.

This is an overall view at the plants. They might look a bit downgraded, but I just bent them to the right and am starting to draw a circle with them.

I checked the roots, and they look like this:

The roots are not slimy, but the big "knot" is a little bit yellowish. I guess I'll add a bit of H2O2 with today's refill.

Temps are:
- water in res - 26C/79F
- air - similar to that (it's like 24C room temperature, and I guess it's a tiny bit warmer around the plants due to CFLs and the closet

Any idea if there something wrong with the plants?

water is too hot thata preety good guess. water has to stay between 68 and 70. I had a couple smaller leaves dothat on y plantwhen the water got warm.

I did ;) Twice, but as I wrote before it decreases the temp only for a while.

I'm thinking about moving the res to a different closet and use the power of "the floor".

Day 35
I'm trying to figure out where to move them....

Also I learned that you can and should steer the growth by hiding / showing leaves. This way I can control the growth speed of branches and the top.

It's also a skill that one will use very often when LST :)

Here is the current situation:

Wow man nice plants. When you gonna move those chicks into flower? they are gonna double in size when you get them on a 12/12. I found out my two plants r fems.after 24 hr of darkness. your plants look more indica than sativa. keep up the great work.

Thanks a lot mate :) I need to move them to the new closet, when it's done I'll start flowering. Also, I need to get the top back up since the plants assumed that the branches should now grow faster then the top ;) It's great fun to steer the plant growth.

I'm also trying out few techniques I've found on the FAQ. We'll see if that influences the crop. And to try those out I need healthy and big plants :) Yesterday I was changing the water and decided to give them 1/2 the nuts they got previously. I feel they like it more. Also the roots scared me. They are huuuge. And look healthy.
I didn't see any bad signs of that folding and it seems like the plants don't care much about it. Probably it's just some outer factor influencing the shape of the leafs not the plant itself.

Got 1 leaf a little burnt, but that's because I'm out of space in the closet. Nothing dangerous though. I also broke one, but it's seems to heal itself nicely :)

I thought that sativas look bushy and indicas skinny? Isn't that so?

I don't know exactly with the look of the plant but your roots tell me indica. my 2 plants don't have a long root system at all just real bushy out the bottom of the cup. my plants are a mess. I felt so bad. They grew in to the lights while i was working and some of them burt. They just won't stop growing even in flower they just won't stop.

Oh man, that's really bad luck. Maybe try putting some kind of a net over them to keep them down? I would definitely try that.

Good news is that I moved the girls to a new place. Much more space in height, much lest space in width and depth. Oh well...

Here are some pictures from Day 36

Today I realized I need to start the flowering ASAP. I ordered the bulb for flowering and should start off after the weekend.
