First Grow - bagseed (pics)

are you still planning on germing a couple more seeds. I'd suggest if you can to try at least four, I'd say that's a safe number to guarantee you a female. although there are really no guarantees... you could still get four males.
just food for thought. it's happened to me, all this hope in one little plant and next thing you know you see balls! if you haven't yet, it's not too late. just be about a week behind.

I actually do plan on germinating a few more. I just don't have room for them to get very tall. What would you say is the shortest I could switch the plant to 12/12 and start flowering?

I have about 15 good bagseeds germinating right now, and I'll plant the 3 best and hope for a female, although, I will only keep one female. The other(s) - if any - will be given to a friend with more adequate space.

I would start 12/12 asap and i used fabreeze out the ass.

Would the person that is constantly in my aprt smell it??

Hey StrikingHigh, put more pictures up! I want to see your progress. Explain your set-up to me. I am trying to grow in my parents house and I know you're growing in a dorm so I just want to know how you've pulled it off thus far.

good luck with growing on campus and be careful. kinda makes me laugh to know someone is growing ganja in harshman or some other dorm haha.

There's actually some primo buds that go around town here from time to time.


oh and ladyngreen you dont live too far away either, haha sometimes i rock out to ft wayne just to go to sonic

Ya... It's not my room I'm growing in... Just one I have access to.

Anyway, I'll be putting more pics up later today.

So, it's day 13 and the plant is looking decent. As this grow is largely an experiment, I would like to start flowering next week. I really don't care what I yield from this particular plant, but would rather get a feel for the process, supplies, and curing method. Here's some pics. Someone let me know if, say, day 22 would be too soon to start flowering. Thanks!

you can flower whenever really, ive seen straight 12/12 from seed before.

it's going to strrrrrrrretch as soon as you start cycling though 3-4x as tall as when you start.

there is some burn on those leaves too, did the light touch it or are there nutes goin on?

Hmm... I may start flowering sooner then. I can't afford too much stretch due to space concerns. Is it likely that I will have any bud from a plant this small (assuming it's female)?

And, yes, it's burnt from the CFL falling and touching the plant (dammit)...

you will get bud. just prune the lower 2/3 of branches that grow in that are not just fan leaves... basically just go for the single cola harvest if you're just trying to grow something small

At this point, the plant is too small to tell. Should I do this during flowering? Like the first or second week?

Ok, before I post another update, I'm just going to give you all a run down of what's been happening with the grow recently.

If you look at my latest update, you see that between the plant and the light, there's about 3.5". Also, the Styrofoam cup that contains my plant has drainage holes in the bottom, then is fitted onto another inverted cup of which the bottom has been cut. So, I can always remove that inverted cup to give myself another 3" of grow room, bringing my max amount of space between soil and light to 7.5".

I had just put my plant on 12/12 starting at 11:00 PM yesterday with its first dark period. Upon further research on RIU and other forums of the sort, I have seen some really interesting arguments for topping or LST instead of going for a single cola harvest. The only thing is, I have no idea at what point it's safe to top it and I know absolutely nothing of the practice of LST. What I'm wondering is whether it's worth my time to research all this now and learn it, or if going for a single cola harvest is still the better option?

Sorry if I'm rambling on and on... I tend to do that when I'm stoned...

Oh ya... I forgot to say that upon conclusion of that research on topping and LST vs. single cola harvest, I decided to put my plant back on 24/0 for now. It had about 5.5 hours in complete darkness before I put it back in the light... Will that slow it down or harm it any?

Your baby should be fine. Might slow down growth a little bot nothing long term

Oh, and pretty sweet grow! i wish i could get away with it in my dorm room. Roommate probably wouldn't be to excited to have a pot plant growing though.
