Day 14 (August 17th, 1 pm): Today is day 8 or 9 since sprout. Nothing "new" really happened today, so I just decided to take pics of some new growth. I think im almost set on ordering Jock Horror seeds, but I need to buy the fox farms soil and Big Bloom nutes first to make sure I have enough money. Ill try to go shopping today but idk if thats happening

I wish you the best of luck man! A few months ago I started 5 bag seeds, and they grew like rockstars! Unfortunately, they ALL turned out to be male... I don't think you get anywhere a 50/50 sex ratio one would expect...

Then to make matters worse, to avoid running into this again I ordered 5 feminized seeds from Nirvana and 0 sprouted! :wall:

Now I've had just about enough of this shit and have just stated a total of 28 more bag seeds at various times over the past couple weeks praying that just ONE will grow into a healthy adult female...!

The ganja gods have not been smiling upon my harvest so far... I think I need to do a few more tributes bongsmilie to appease them...

Like I said, I wish you the BEST of luck. But maybe you should try to score some more bag seeds ASAP just in case. It is a terrible bummer when your plants turn on you after months of TLC...

I heard the vigorous growing ones are always male...

Out of 10 bag seeds only one germinated and it has been growing vigorously.

with my luck probably a male..

Hey, jw... is there *anything* u can do with males?

Thats true, I was reading about that (ex: higher temps increase chances of males)
What? Look, I don't pretend to be an expert here, but let's think about that logically... A plant being either male or female in the same environment would make no sense to switch to male to propagate the species. Jamaica's reals hot, lotsa weed there!

AS far as vigorous ones being male, I've had experience both ways. Of the same strain, I would agree through personal experience, but when you are collecting bag seeds and there may be more than one strain, that's not always true. Different strains have their individual traits (grow fast, tall, skinny, etc).

As for what you can do with males... I've only culled them so far. Although, I have done a little reading on how to make hash oil. Some say that males are good for this. I have no personal experience in this matter, I'd just like to actually be able to make hash with the leftover females...:weed:

Its a game of win lose or draw. I threw one of five bagseeds, (Kush) in a container, went thru hell the last 2 months keeping it alive(cause I didnt know what I was doing) and it just showed me it was female 2 days ago! So its all a crapshoot my friend.
Another thing Ive learned, is with feminized seeds, they have a tendancy to turn hermie. Just what Ive read.

Hey has ur plant been getting better?
Eh, its greener but its growing its first set of 5 leaves per leaf (a pot leaf :weed:) in kinda weird. Janes first 2 5 leaved leafs are looking soo nice

Yeah dude just picked up some fox farms ocean potting soil and I already have some 3 gal pots, but i think im gonna wait like 4 more days to transplant (waiting it to get rooted). u think I should transplant tomorrow?

Shitty dude, im sorry bout that shit. You need to be toking it up more on 420 and always passing left, etc. I got a lot of that shit under my belt so they speared me with one really healthy baby cannabis plant. Im about to order a fem 5 pack of Jock Horror, gonna plant a couple of those babys too

Yeah I know males grow a little bit taller and faster but the majority variation is in strain so its really hard to tell so far.

umm... simply, I agree haha. Im trying to do some shit to make the plants more likely to become females (high N ratio, lower heat, etc.)

Ive heard that too but im almost positive thats a myth. Nirvana also guarantees their seeds and usually sends you new beans if they dont germ, become hermie, etc.

Im gonna have to hit Nirvana up then. Ive been shopping around.

Does anyone know, if using JUST Fox Farm Big Bloom, should I go by the instructions on the back of the bottle, because the feeding instructions on the site seem to be for when you are using all 3 together.

Yeah use the fox farms feeding schedule on the site. Im not gonna start giving nutes til 2 weeks into veg tho (unless plants show nute deficiencies before)

Day 15 (Aug 18th 11.10pm): Day 10 since sprout; I went to the store yesterday and picked some Fox Farms Ocean potting soil and the rest of the nutes, so I was thinking of transplant into 3 gal maybe tomorrow? I think im gonna wait til the seedling is at 2 weeks before I start vegetative tho.
on to the pics, Janes first 5 leaved leaf hasn't really grown much since last night but still looks really cool (pic 2). Mary's leaf is growing in kinda funky, but on the positive side at least it looks better than yesterday (pic 1)

I just brought my buddy a bag of fox farms soil last night so we could switch the weeklings into bigger pots. The crap I had them in made transferring hard as hell, bunch of the roots got torn, but they took it well and actually grew today. I think they loved the new soil! I was expecting some shock, at least a couple days of wilting or no growth, instead they noticeably got taller. Ill never use a different soil again unless I make it myself!!
Transfer into bigger containers if you already havent, mine at day 7 are as big if not bigger than yours at day 10! Ive been using molasses with every other watering... dont know if that would make much of a difference since theyve only gotten it once.

Day 15 (Aug 18th midnight): Hello fellow tokers :bigjoint:
Took a peek at the roots earlier today (pretty well rooted) and decided to transplanting the 2 seedlings into 3 gal pots of FF Ocean. I did a pretty sloppy job of transplanting (balancing that thing in ur hand while trying to take a pic with a cam that requires a separate hand to focus and zoom isn't as easy as i hoped it would be haha) so i think i broke up the root ball quite a bit, hope that doesn't shock the plants. I also think I underwatered the 2 pots (ran out of distilled water), so Im gonna see how to plants react tomorrow and most likely water them more with 12 hour dist water before school. I also built the seedlings a vegetative area where they have more room to grow. I havent put the pots into the veg area yet because the lights turned off before I had a chance to set up the lights, so the pots are just outside the area with 1 light each hanging over them (ducktaped them to stay there haha effective quick fix). Well thats it for my night update, on to the pictures.

1= Marys roots, 2 = Janes roots, 3 = the 2 of em right after transplant,4 = Mary with the veg room behind

Day 16 (Aug 19th 4.50 pm): Just got back from work and went to my friends to check on my girls. I can't really put my finger on it but the plants look a lot bigger today then yesterday (then again didn't see them this morning), so I think they just grew a bunch in width. They seem to be loving FF soil, neither of them are for the most part at all droopy anymore . I also just finished setting up the lights so I moved the weeds into their veg room and im starting them on the vegetative period (24 hours of light). I cant wait til growth spurt really kicks in! Im gonna be spending a bunch of time smoking joints and watching the weed grow :weed:

1= Jane looking good!, 2 = Mary (some of the leaves still growing in funky cuz mary isn't growing height much so they dont have room), 3 = the 2 of em in veg room, 4 = New veg room
