First grow, Auto Easy Ryder

Ok everyone, This is my first grow, and my first post. I have an auto Easy Ryder. I am using my friends lights ( which ive seen very nice plants grown under) and his setup. I have it in my closet with a fan pulling air out, and a small individual fan blowing directly on plant for heat control. The pictures are from my set up and plant up close. Today makes one week (full seven days). I steteched it slightly (by accident) so i clipped the first two small leaves off and dropped the lights to enduce it to growing bushy. I just need to know if she looks like shes doing fine and all. Anyone PLEASE comment me and let me know what you think! : ):joint:

The plant on the left is an auto Pineapple Chunk. As you can see i stetched it pretty tall, it did that almost over night so my lights have been lowered to where they are now since about day 4. It's leaves are smaller than the easy ryder but the plant itself is taller. Is this OK?!?! or should i replant it to deal with that awful stretch?

Dude they look great so far. healthy and all that jazz. maybe just put a little more soil in the pot and dont be afraid to keep that light 2-3'' tops away from the top of your plants. Thats if you can keep enough cool air blowing on the lights. Dont worry about replanting, I would only do that if your soil is bad. just filler er up like I said and you will be much more comfortable.

thanks ALOT man! I have the lights probably 2.5 inches above them, they havent shown any sign of heat burn with that small fan blowing directly on them. How long does it take for them to start sprouting more leaves and start to get bushy like yours? Man your babies look AMAZING. And its okay to add more soil to the stretched one? like just add more the make the soil line higher up on the stem? Thanks again buddy. Im in the same boat as you, tired of smoking this garbage Louisiana bud. And everyone charges out the ASS for anything half decent, so i decided to just cultivate my own SUPER DANK HAHAHA, Ill add more picks as it goes, helpful input is greatly appreciated!!! : )

I also am usuing osmocote potting soil, Ive read up on it and really wish i would have gotten the fox farm (which is what im going to do when these finish with the free seeds i got with my other, thunder bloody mary and holy grail 69) but I have a buddy who is using pretty much the same set up, and his Big Devil looks amazing, and is giving of a very fruity smell!! I water with bottled water, due to ive heard tap has bad chlorine, how should i go about checking ph levels? This is pretty new to me but so far so good : )

Aha, I sent you a message asking where you were at, but you just answered it. Im in FL, in the same boat. Yeah, just add a litle more soil but keep the soil line under the bottom leaves. This will help actually a little bit I have read. You got your lights at a great distance, I always forget how small everything really is and makes the space look bigger in pics lol.

I've never heard of the soil, but theres so many brands out there. I have a friend who is growing a tangerine dream bush 4X my size and hes using miracle grow moisture control and his plant is kicking so much ass lol. No nute burns or anything! Im going to get a couple clones off of his :) So I wouldnt really worry too much unless its really poor draining. Im using happy frog, and have recently switched to foxfarm as well. Both are working excellent in my opinion. Hey for that whole bottled water thing, If you let water sit out for 24hrs all of the chemicals evaporate out of it, so you can save some money lol. PH levels, honestly, I just went to esopsitos and got a ph meter. They also sell some at home depot if youve got one near you. or probably any hardware store. Theyre just plants, so as long as you dont have to worry about temps, and always use like 1/4-1/2 strength nutrients, and have some decent lighting, you will have dankness. Thats a fact lol. Good start for you for sure man!

whered u get the light fixture. im trying to have a setup like that
The comment underneath is totally correct. Its a light fixutre for a bathroom, or whatever you would want it for. I'm only growing two plants so i got the one that holds 3 lights. It's also refective metal so thats a plus. I got it at my local stines, you could check like home depot, home hardware, etc. any one of those places you should be able to find one that would work for you. They have some that will hold alot of lights. If I remember right it cost me right around $20 bucks. Hope this was useful! Best of luck to ya man!

Dude, those are probably knats. You can either get a spray to kill them or you can put sand on top of your soil. Some 40yr old growin dude told me that. He said they feed off something in the soil, and if you put sand in they can't get in or out to get food. Sucks, I encountered them too. Probably fruit flys or knats. You could also make a solutions. Buy a habernero, chop it up and boil it in water for an hr. strain it, put the water in a spray bottle and you got yourself some insecticide. Thats what i actually use. Its cheap as fuck. This should fix your problem. Spray the leaves every 2-3 days until you dont see them.

Hey anotherday, I went and checked on my babies today and saw that one of them, (the bigger one) has drooped over. Around day 4 I was clipping the two first small leaves off and slightly damaged the stem. She was slumped over so i watered an later that day she was standing back up perfect. Today she looks the same, the only thing i can get is that her leaves are getting too big. Here are some pictures of her, is she totally ruined or is there still hope? I added more soil to her pot and watered her. PLEASE HELP IM WIGGING OUT!

I know people bend their plants to make them get wide and bushy, but IDK man im freaking because she is already so big compared to my pineapple chunk (which is still doing good, the extra soil made the difference thanks buddy!)

yo man, sorry I left my computer at my band practice, and have been using my room mates here and there... but ok, dont take any leaves off for at least a month if starting from seed I would say so you dont run into this problem again. This might sound crazy, but you should try and bandage it up with something like two popsicle sticks and take it up straight. within a few days it will be back to normal again. but yeah it looks like id be freaking out too. Good luck man, thats my only advice... GL mate.
