Okay so I love in a illlegal state "bible belt" I want to do my first grow, I got my seeds today I ordered 5 regular Super Skunk from NIRVANA, I only plan on doing one plant at a time, it will be a closet grow. I bought a 150 watt full spectrum ufo light and some fox farm soil, I'm completely new to this so I wanna make sure I'm ready before i germinate, the paper towel method, can I start it out in a 3 gallon pot or do I have to start small and transplant one time, I know it can stress the plant if done wrong, I'm also not sure about what kind of water to use or nutes as I'm completely new to this I've been trying to do more research, any tips will help this noobie lol

this website is a must.
transplant makes watering easier but not a must, I have never had problems with transplant stress, be gentle. smell maybe an issue (carbon filters). fox farm ocean forest is hot and has been known to fry seedlings and smaller plants. always ph your water and nutes. for soil if you're willing to drink the water it is safe for the plant (ph'd of course, and some like to "gas off" the chlorine). nutes, pick a brand that is available to you and geared towards cannabis, usually 3 part or veg/bloom. fox farm, advance nutrients, heavy 16, general hydro, canna, etc. you will get a few males so if you will have to look out for them and then decide if you do want a bunch of seeds for future grows. amazon has everything if you don't have access to local shops.

check out the website it is step by step, troubleshooting, everything really. if you follow there instructions you will be rewarded with some good smoke.

ps. make your goal to produce some decent buds not 1 lbs of cannabis cup winning bud. what I mean is don't fret over things to much, this will be a learning experience and that is worth more then the smoke. give a man a fish, he eats for a day. teach a man to fish and never goes hungry.

for your first grow i might recommend greenleaf nurtients mega crop. its organic and has everything you need for start to finish in a single dry powder. it will have a much larger margin for error than something like fox farms which isnt even a complete line of nutrients to begin with and you wont burn them, even if you overdose unlike with fox farms and other chemical nutes. their soil is very hot too as mentioned. (youll certainly run into cal mag issues using fox farms nutrients)

i find that not having to mix a bunch of different chemicals takes a lot of guess work out of my rotation becaues its all calculated for me already and i know its a full complete blend of nutrients, enzyms, vitamins, etc. they offer a free sample, just pay the shipping. i dont think youll be disappointed with it.

if you dont want organic nutrients ive had GREAT success with Technaflora Recipe For Success nutrient pack, but youll be mixing and measuring 6-8 different bottles of nutrients with that.
