First grow and I need some advice... Please help

My plants are going on two weeks old and are only 1.5", they haven't grown any taller in about a week. They are starting to bush out a little and look really green and health. I can also see more nodes starting to forum. I have said in miracle grow organic soil under a 400w mh light. I water with distilled water and the temp stays between 80 and 82 with lights on. They are white widow greenhouse seeds. Does this height sound normal for plants almost two weeks old? If so then how long until they start growing taller?

the plant is focusing on making roots, depending how big your pot is depends on how long till you see serious growth

You're in good shape. Right after going into dirt the first time seedlings work on developing an extensive root system.
Keep a ruler handy and note the change in height every couple of days. After around 3 weeks the plant will switch
gears and start growing vertically. You will soon see she is adding an inch a day or more as she vegges.

Here's a hint -- Stand above your plant so you are looking straight down at it. Notice if the leaves have grown wider
than your pot. If the leaves really hang over the side of the pot, that means the roots have grown to the pot edge too.
Generally the root system underground mirrors the growth of the leaves above ground.

Good luck, BigSteve.
