dont waste money on cfls (waste of time).
go straight for H.P.S.

LUDA.
HPS = expensive and high wattage! I suggest to do a little research and chose what you think is best. Options are:
1 natural sunlight (cheapest)
2 fluorecent lighting (cheap)
2 hps and mh (you must get both; one for veg and the other for flowering and both setups are really expensive):peace:

It's adjusting to the new light frequency. Give it a day or 2 and wait to see some changes.

nonsense i use a 400w(dual spectrum) hps from sprout to flowering.
1 bulb does all.
no need for flouros or mh (waste of time).

400W hps for one plant?
Now that seems like a very big waste on money, I'd use cfl's until you get the hang of the growing.
They are cheap, they work and easy to setup.

Yeah hps are great, i'l be using them on my next grow.

You could get a 250watt hps and get a 250watt mh bulb and a 250watt hps bulb. Use the mh bulb for veg and the hps bulb for flower. Simple, yet effective.

Oh and if you use hps all the way through your buds will not be as potent. In fact it really helps to have some blue in flowering so the buds get more UV and produce more THC.

Dual spectrum lighting is all up to you but I would personally get a hps ballast and get both hps and metal halide bulbs to use in that ballast.

"your buds wont be as potent using hps (dual spectrum) from start to end"
bull mate you can use flourescents from seedling to harvest i have done it before.
and lighting has nothing to do with potency :dunce:.
and as for mh lamps i have never bothered with them.
:lol::lol::lol:.
the whole point of a dual spectum hps bulb is it gives of blue and red spectrums throughout the whole grow.
so basically you are saying if you are growing outdoors the lighting spectrum should be changed .
good luck in changing the sun light spectrum.

if you are growing outdoors in a country suitable for doing it you would plant the seeds at the right time of year and just let nature take its course and let the sun do its thing throughout the season(no need for 12/12).
i am no outdoor grower but have lots of info on that.
if you need anything just give me a shout.

thank you Luda,
Yes me to i like outdoors. But where i am is to hard to find a safe place for growing. That is why i have this sky light set up witch is works fine so far.So you think i just let the sun do it's job throughout the growing?
Thanks,
T

What happened to your plant? Did you buy the 5600K CFL? We should have let you know to only buy 5600K for veg.
