Haha, I'm always happy to show other medical patients and smoke out with them in my garden.
It's why I have so many chairs in my veg room.

The RO process removes everything from the water, not just the bad stuff but good stuff. If you use RO water, you need to get some Cal-Mag to add to it. Tap water contains calcium and magnesium in it, but RO has nothing... and the plants really like Calcium and magnesium, so... if you use RO get some Cal-Mag. And that's for both hydro and soil.

hey im a first time grower and i was wondering if theres a ghetto way to set up a hydroponic system. my moneys pretty tight right now but is there anything i can do?

Thanks for the info I had no idea, my plants weren't showing any deficiancies other then the Platinum bubba getting droopy, and that must be why. Thanks again!


And cche75, you can try to invest in lights and some fans. Then some Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil which is like 12 bucks a bag.
Give them good water, it won't be the best stuff, but if you take care of it, it should be good enough to smoke.

it takes so long to upload pics that if i try to put text in , I get sent to resign in and i lose all my pics,
that my geto set up
I use a 1000w in a cooltube,and a 400w for side lighting, 2 150mm(6inch) inline can fans with carbon filters, a 150mm inline fan for cooltube, have 3 passive 150mm freash air inlets from out side
a 300mm (12inch) fan blowing freash air in from a room thats open to the outside
6 home made co2, so i can change 1 every 2days
3 of the plants are on final week, flushing them every 2days, Ill do that 4 times then pick

Wish I had the wattage you have, some of those look like some monster buds.
 
I dont smoke , havent for 10 years, they are very tempting, I,m just going have to try some arnt I, vaperizer (carnt spell) how do they work are they good ?
the cooltube : has freash air from outside through it then into my veg room, the end of the duct is near the carbon filter that vents the veg room, on cold days, I point the duct onto my veg plants to worm them up+ freash air, when temp hits 24C I put the duct back onto the carbonfilter to get the worm air venting out side agan.

Looks like my platinum bubba is dying up. I'm guessing it was because of the RO change.
Either way the 6 Blue dreams are looking fine and I bought Botanicare Cal-Mag for the water.

I guess I will start flushing the Bubba and cut it up in 3 days.

I am a first time grower as well bud but I built my own DWC (deep water culture) setup and except for most of my electronics being plugged into either a surge bar or timers. I'll take a picture and show ya but it is so easy you will feel dumb. Basically, all you need is enough 5 Gal buckets for all your plants (1 plant per bucket), an airpump and air stone to keep water oxygenated, Hydroton (clay rocks, they take the place of soil), Nutrients (I use Ionic), I use a 400w hps light with sun system visor, fans and other light sources to hit all over the plants. I have actually spent less than a hundred bucks on my setup. The only thing I would need to grow more plants would be 5 Gal buckets and nutrients (runnin low). With all that shit you can grow a beaut. My plant is sexy as fuck and her roots are just flowing into the water. Check out my first grow in my sig, I'm still growing and updating, so swing by and tell me how I'm doing and give me some pointers. If you just want to check out my thread I have to problem having friends get down on the grow room jams and smokin it up. Also if anyone has any questions on my setup swing by and let me know.
