Greenhouse Seeds - The Church
Root Organics Soil
Just got my seeds yesterday had it t-shirt stealth shipped from Attitude. I got the shirt with Bob Marley that says "supply the demand.", pretty cool. Soaked seeds overnight in water and then switched to the paper towel method putting them in a dark place. Temperatures are reaching 85-90 degrees fahrenheit without the reflector being air cooled so there's ducting that's coming in tomorrow I'll see how much of a difference that makes. Gonna put them into 16 oz party cups - 1 gallon nursery pots - 3 gallon - then the final transplant is a 5 gallon "smart pot".

I saw 4 taproots out of the 5 seeds in the towel, i went ahead and planted them all inq soil anyway with taproot facing down. They are now in 16 oz soil cups with Root Organics soil watered till 20% of the cup's volume as runoff.

good luck m8! set up sounds just fine. just one thing- if i understand correct, you gonna transplant them 3 times...? isnt that allot of stress for them?

Yeah u want to tansplant as least as possible. I would recommend doing only one transport if that's possible for you. I grow with clones so I let them root and then stick em in the media. Only grown from seed once back in the day and I only transplanted it once from party cup to 3 gallon pot.

Yeah but I've been reading a lot about the roots fully developing to the size of the current media and working their way back up is better for them? Correct me if i'm wrong though.

never herd of such a thing, not for any sort of plant. as far as I know u shuld use a small pot to help the roots develop and then transplant into a big enoghe pot to let the plnt to grow to its full size. if you keep transplanting you cofuse and stress out the plany. but that is only my inexperianced op.

Anyone else wanna comment on this???? Just cause I've googled and asked this question myself in other forums and this was the answer I got... multiple transplants may stress the plant but careful and precise transplanting working your way up to bigger pots is a good thing.

I just go from party cups to 1 gallon then 3 gallon or 5 gallon final home.
Right on, knew I wasn't misguided.

It's now day 3 and the seeds haven't broken the soil yet. Hopefully they'll break through tomorrow... temperature is at a constant 76 right now with a RH of 58% I just put a wet towel in there hoping to bump the humidity up just a tad to 65.

Day 4 - Still no signs of life O:
I was hoping it would break the soil today at least. Temperature is at 76 degrees and RH at 68%

Since I was only planning on doing 4 plants anyway i decided to check up on the seeds... none of them have broken the soil so i got worried and tried to find the seed to see how it was doing.. i used a pencil / credit card to move dirt around but i couldn't even find the seed to i took one of the solo cups and emptied it out in a dish all the soil and i shifted through it for like an hour and couldn't find the seed. I then continued to slowly dig through the other 2 solo cups using only a pencil and i couldn't find the seeds where i placed them. i left the remaining 3 alone and put the soil back from the emptied out solo cup back into the cup with no real hope for it.... where the fuck are my seeds???? I watered the cups till 20% runoff and then placed the germinated seeds in it and haven't watered since.
