First Grow 400 W HPS White Widow

day 31 flower...they started drinking a little more were now up to 1 gallon every other day between the three.

Thought it a good idea today to tie the plants down a tad and expose the bottom of the plant to hopefully excite some growth down there. In pic 2 you can see the 3 ft from soil marker on the wall and they are tied down about 2 or 3 inches. On my big plant i actually forked it and tied both of its stems apart so the entire center of the plant is exposed. I hope this is a good idea ha ha. I'll post pictures soon.

Hello there, first of all before i begin....Let me congratulate you on what looks like a great first effort on growing weed - ur 1st run is not easy so thumbs up for that!

Now for my intro - Im currently on my second grow, i have done LOADS of re-search and reading and posting etc so i feel quite clued up on the whole grow info! im also growing white widow, and some white rhino - im on day 35 and i use 1 x 600w hps a few oscillating fans and my temps are around 85 and humid around 50.
I have 16 plants on the go at the moment and there really starting to come into there own - one tip you need to take advice for is to buy ADVANCED NUTRIENTS - the difference they will give is ASTOUNDING!


For nutes i have Bio bizz grow & Bloom (base nutes) then i have bud blood, big bud, overdrive, hammerhead, molasses, epsom salts for VEG i used Iguana juice & the grow these nutes work fantastic! really do - all my water has a ph of 6.3 exactly and my run off is also perfect!

I VEGGED for 8 weeks (which is a really long veg) and intend on flowering for 8-10 weeks - some of my plants range from 25-50 inches tall - bigger is not always better to be honest -


Looking at your pics , ur buds dont seem to be very dense, and tight and theres not much on the main cola! what nutes have you been using? i think you said you where in day 30 which isnt too much of a problem as they will grow the most in there last 4 weeks! i would try and feed them more nutes if you can as they look like they could do with a heavy feed! As far as ur first grow goes they are fine and you will realise so much on your next grow! The white widow is an easy strain to grow, they are hard ass bitches and they can take an over watering, over feed, lot of stress so if you can try clone your best plant - all my plants are from feminized seed as i only have 1 room for my grow so i cant grow a mother and take cuttings from her bit of a shame as i cant start the seedling process of and then switch them over to flowering neither - if u get my drift!

JUST LOOKED AT YOUR NUTES: dude my advice is buy some more bloom nutes - you want a base nute and something to feed your plant carbs etc etc - using just fox farm big bloom will not give you the potency and yield you will get if you add say 2 or 3 other enhancing nutes - if you can afford it buy either dr hornbys big bud, Hammerhead, Overdrive ALL ADVANCED NUTRIENTS <<< if you cant afford that you can buy 'grandmas molasses' for around $10

but you need more bloom nutes buddy - hope this 20 minutes of info had helped and will help -

Hey england, thanks alot I was thinking the same thing but didn't know how rapidly they will grow. The stuff I use is FF Big Bloom, and FF Grow Big I thought those were all I would need. I was thinking maybe getting some of that Cha Ching or Beastie Bloomz. Figured I would just stick with the FF line since I have been using everything else. Would these compensate ?

ok - still stick with the nutes you are using - i mean to buy some more and add them to your bloom nutes

so you have FF bloom - keep using that but buy some more nutes and use them ASWELL as the FF bloom - im not sure on those nutes u listed but deffo buy urself some more nutes as your plants will give u MORE buds in ur harvest that is a FACT i spend alot on my nutes but its worth it in the long run - trust me! you get out what you put in !

Bollox how u gonna get a balanced nutrition with on bottle of ff bloom? U need to be using more than that for a balanced nutrition and to main Tain correct levels of phos!

Don't take what I was trying to say out of context. Yes, plenty of nutrition can be achieved with base nutrients if you know what you are looking for.
Cannabis is a plant, just like tomatoes, bell peppers, and jalapenos.

So today I trimmed them up a bunch to get light on the buds a little more hopefully. Took down the aluminum foil as it wasn't getting good reviews. The walls are painted white so it should be an improvement. Tied the plants to an angle as well using string. I was thinking the bud production would have been alot more considering I am in the 30's....As I have heard alot of Widow growers using a higher temp so I started that today and they look alot happier already.

so obviously i took the picture before i tied the stems at an angle ha ha...

Definately worried about nug density, since this is my first time around at least. Do they grow alot in the last three weeks or so ? Hopefully...

Got some pictures today of them tied down. Already showing signs of improvement as many of the lower branches are shooting up to take the place of the tied down branches.
