I have just completed week 3 of Veg and recently switched my timing to 12/12, so I'm a little late at starting the journal but oh well.

I have a single 1000W HPS inside a 10x5x10 storage room
7 Plants from clone inside 3 gal planters (2 of them inside 4 gal ceramic planters I had kicking around)
I have, what i now realize is much too small of a fan. Its a 4 inch (177 CFM) blower with a charcoal cannister filter venting into the attic.
Posting pics from week one until now!
Feel free to post comments or suggestions

Today I installed a 6" Stealth exhaust with charcoal filter and moved my 4" to the floor to use as an intake, Poly'd the door (although I used clear...kind of stupid, now i need to put up a blanket to prevent light leak during dark). I'll have to go pick up some non-transparent poly this weekend. Picked up some Scotts Bug B Gone to deal with the thrips, will spray tonight before dark and again next week...hope it works. will post pics soon

whats your temps like?

whats your ventilation like? i would put your 4 inch up top and have passive intakes...if you have 10 inches total of exhaust than make two different 5-6 inch holes...you can possibly add more intake, you will have greater airflow through there if more air is being sucked in instead of pushed in and sucked out....check out this picture from one of my threads that explains how to build a cabinet...you can see that you can keep making holes and do this trick to make sure air is flowing in there...

right now i have 2 6inch fans pulling air out of my tent, with 2 6inch intake holes it is creating negative air pressure because their is two fans sucking air out. Each fan is 6 inches and i have two 6 inch intakes, passive with no fans just a hole, since my intake is equal to my exhaust, but my exhaust has power behind it i am pushing out air very fast as opposed to whats coming in, keeping fresh air always coming in to my plants...

here is the two exhaust fans....

there is an identical intake on the other side, i use ducting to bend it to prevent light leak...

Thanks for the post! My temps are steady around 27C. If they get too high into flowering I will try your technique, thanks again
