Just make sure that you have plenty of ventilation when you change the light to MH, if not you will have a lot of dead seedlings. It will look like the Marijuana holocaust...LOL... It's awesome to see someone trying to help the MMJ community, just make sure the males get pulled before transplant, if not your efforts will be futile. Who knows you may be the next Chilli Palmer of MMJ when you are done...LOL... This sorta thing takes effort and patients, especially for your first grow. Don't get down on yourself if some do not survive or if you have to start back at square one. It took me a year to get a decent first full grow, and it's worked like magic since. If you live in the bay area, check up on Oaksterdam classes if they still run them, they are cheap for weekend classes and run about $250, and will give you that extra special green thumb!
Also test the ph levels before you switch to any other light..Too much heat with too little or too much ph will cause you to have a very bad day. But that is what we are all here for in this community, for support, and not being an a$$ hole like little Johnny Drama over there.. Seriously, this is a stoners commune, not for the ones with Jack Daniels at heart. People come on here thinking that they have all the knowledge about growing and then they put down a Greenhorn for makin mistakes... This community does not support duechbags if I may say so. WALDO! so much +rep it's not even funny! GREAT JOB!

This is a great idea, waldo you should carry this out!
I was going to tell you just to take some 2.4 and make rows out of them and then put your cups on top of them to get an extra 1.5 closer into that light!

Heres another things somebody brought up, when you pull all those males out of those holes you have them planted in what are you going to do with all those empty holes?
Well here is what your going to do buddy, take clones off the bottom branches of your maturing females of the plants you like the most and then go plant those clones where your males were once standing. IE you will stagar your harvest this way thus making it a bit easier on yourself come harvest time and the trimming and drying process will not be breaking your back so much!

I have the same name as Johnny and I feel like a disgrace after the things he said! haha even though I was the first one to raise the red flag on him and get pissed for shunning our greenhorn here!

Keep on growin waldo and dont let anyone get you down, if theres one thing I can tell you about growin its that a positive attitude is the best thing you can have..... this is not a joke at all! Keep your spirits high and dont let anyone bring you down because once you get brought down, your babies will feel your pain!

Use a stake an some wire to suport your plants at the stalk, put a fan on em to help stiffen em up also. They will be ok. I would ad some Cfls close if the budget will allow.

I use white cfls to start mine, about 3-4 inches away an it gives me very little space between the nodes.

The more you read the better it will grow. I hope u harvest every plant an blow everyones mind. Good luck.


P.S. dont fertilize for 2-3 weeks, soil can t be mud its got to be alittle dry.
Use a thermomitor to check your temps closely heat is hard on young plants.

wat up ppl got a quick question i have about a dozen seeds that have not yet cracked its been about 10 days. any suggestions to make this bad boys crack or should i call it a lost. some of them are starting to turn white on the shell
 
how old are the seeds & strain? maybe give them 4 more days any longer than that i'd probly not bother...o yea and what method u using to germinate?

I know I had some seeds germin and after about 10 days of not seeint any results in the last of them I decided to chuck em! But another day or 2 never hurt eh?:bigjoint:

their wrap up in a damped paper towel i have 3 that have the root barley coming out should i wait i should i go ahead and put them in soil

Wait it out a few more days and see what happens either they will rot or they will grow thats their only 2 choices waldo! If you put them into soil you will have more of a chance of rot I do believe but I guess that depends how far their tails sticking out!

Pictures never hurt, especially when it comes to offering advice on problems. Chuck up some pics and you might get a mor informed answer.
