Thanks hydrosoil for ur help, what did you mean distilled water is dead? I don't have dough for RO machine, that is why I was going to go with distilled water.

I'm going to guess "dead" being 0 ppm, and a perfectly neutral PH of 7.0. Most people that use distilled water have cal/mag issues that a tap provides excellently about 70% of the time, although there MIGHT be other contaminates you don't want.

Do a water quality test report for your city/state. You might have to go as far as looking up a specific company if you're in a large rural area.. (which brings me to my final closing statement that all information and statistics are meant to pertain to the United States, middle and upper class.)

so would spring water be better to use than distilled??
