First flowering plant. Input NEEDED

Here's my first girl! Anyways its estimated 6-7 weeks in flowering. why are theses buds so small? Will they swell up?and when should i harvest it? Give me whatever you got.

What chu got goin for lights bro, what about; strain, medium, nutrients? Any how, the buds may be small, but the plant is alive an lookin ok. Just keep growin bro.

Jah. I have 350 watts of cfl on this lady. Bag Seed. MG potting mix for soil. And dig this no nutes.

I know these are harsh conditions but for the time being its all i can do.

I have a kush plant next to it. still a seedling but that one will receive proper nutes

Yes they will swell more given time, and some help. 350 isn't much, especially with CFL's, very little light penetration. Splurge and get some nutrients for it and you'll see a big difference most likely. Or you can continue as you are and it will get bigger and better, but most assuredly take at least another 3-6 weeks to be anything worth having. Not bad for what you have, but could be much better with a minimal investment and more time.

Fuck yeah. The nute situation will be changing. But even though the calyx's are beginning to turn reddish-brown would you still give it three to six? I mean im checking the triches and stuff. I guess ill just have to wait and see how it unfolds..

when you grow a weed plant their are certain things u really want(i say want not need...)

You say you are growing with CFL's right, which deff. can be done. but u have to have the right spectrum CFL's make sure they are as close as you can possible put them cause they do not have alot of penetration power. that is why u WANT HPS Grow light. Its the besy way to grow weed.

Nutes... This is really gonna be a learning curve for you cause everyone when they first work with nutes manage to somehow burn their plants. BUT your not, y? cause i will help you. for your next grow get rid of MG soil. it come prenuted and which isnt good. You should look into Fox Farm ocean Forest Soil or Pro-Mix BX or Roots organic soil. Now nutrients can come organic or chemical. i have both, when you begin to feed your plant you should wait about2-3 weeks after she sprouted and showing good growth. Start off really small. a low ppm( you need a PH meter, A nice one will last and be durable cheaper ones wont be. I got a 145 doller ph/ppm meter with the calibrations and it works perfectly everytime) PH METER IS CRAZY IMPORTANT! without that dont fuck with nutes u will burn them and hate urself. Also dont follow the schedule they tell you on fox farm sites or any other when you water with nutes u should like i said start off really small and work your way up. For ex. 1/4 teaspoon or 1/2 teaspoon of Fox Farm Grow Big(veg nute) with 1 teaspoon of big bloom(organic) and watering habbits... I water...wait till soil is nice and dry...water.....then nutes. repeat. i wouldnt water with nutes every other watering cause in soil nutes can build up and cause sum serious nute lock up.

There are about 30-40 parts of the plant where buds/pistils are emerging.
The cfls are always 2 inches from the plant.
And to codye190 dude i know. The shit i picked it out from looked like straight up mersh. It was a plant that was FILLED with seeds. needless to say this plant has done very well for my very simple care plan.
I breathe on her and sing. I smoke buds with her and I tell her I'm sorry when im clipping the leaves so she doesn't get stressed. Ive taken care of her and she will take care of me<3

Ya bro, it could just be bad genetics.... oh ya and no nutes. Hell, feed em something and see if they fattin up.

Now thats the fucking spirit man, Let me put it this way. U give your plant everything it needs plus more and she will give you what u want. But remember man, give her alot of love by that i mean awesome nutes, strong light, good ventilation and she WILL reward u.

The reason the budz are so small is likely due to the CFLS but alos because she is a sativa. 3-4 more weeks will give you a decent yield. IMHO nothing wrong with MG. Is it the best option, no but if it is all you have then no problem. As long as you understand how and when to water to avoid burn. And you obviously do because she is very healthy looking. Someone had suggested FF Ocean Forest, I tend to think that soil is too hot for seedlings and clones and can be kinda difficult to gauge when to add nutes for a newbie. I would suggest the FF Happy Frog as a good alternative. Adding some flowering nutes at this point should be ok. Get something that has a higher P and K ratio then N. And as also previously mentioned start small and build. Too little is ok, too much can be devestating. Best of luck to you! and +rep for a successful 1st grow.

I agree with Ocean Forest being alittle hot. If u were to get it u shouldnt fed them nutes for the first month. But if i were u man ill go with Pro-Mix Bx its what i use to grow. or roots organic. which if i cant get promix ill get roots.

My set-up sounds like yours. I'm working with CFL's on a limited budget. I nuted with MG plant food and MG Bloom food. The grow looks good so I guess they worked pretty well. They are cheap, between $3-$5 in most stores. I found mine in Wal-Mart and K-Mart.

I think your plants look great for your set-up, looks to me like you're just in stretch mode. You have many weeks to go & those plants are going to be huge.
True you get what you put into them, but some weeds better than nothing. I bet that in a month with no nutes their going to look like shit & you're gonna wanna cut.........don't.
They'll ripen slowly and ugly, but the buds will be frosty & thick! Nutes tip the scales in your favor & add some chemical triggers but I can grow a real stink-pot without.
