First Ever Grow - Need Tips

I've seen people have some sort of Y attachment that plugged straight into an outlet. I plan on going to Lowes and Home Depot sometime this week or weekend and getting a bunch of stuff for the grow.
Stuff like
- 2700K CFLs
- Y attachments, or something of that sort.
- And some bloom nutrients
I plan on updating when I get everything. May be a few days though. Thanks for the help everyone!

I just actually got back from picking up lights and y adapters ...... now i face the big problem lol....my extension cord i bought isnt three prong so my surges can connect lol....

I had this same problem, they sell the adapters at home depot only like .60c. It'll convert a 3 prong to 2 prong.

I always run all of my electrical with an appliance extention cord...i know theres not a lot of wattage all together, but when you've got a fan or two, a few bulbs going all day...something might heat up or catch fire. Cuz i'm not willing to burn my house down, ya kno?

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Been pretty busy with stuff. Just got 4 new 100 watt Equivalent 2700k CFLs, 2 Y adapters and some 10-10-10 nutrients. She's looking great(besides some CFL burns due to my setup failing), starting to bulk up around the Calyx area. Hopefully they are actually calyxs. It's been in flowering for about a week now... Here's some pictahs.



A few of those pictures show what I'm talking about around the where the calyxs grow. There's a little white growth it seems coming out, It's not quite a hair... so I don't know yet. I'll just have to be patient.

Nobody? I really need to know what exactly it is I'm seeing. If anyone knows, please help me out here

Well, not that anyone really cares, lol. But I got busted by the cops today. They came over without a warrant, asking to come in and look around because someone called and said I was growing. So I had to rip it up. Terrible thing is, It was just starting to show pistils... So I've put the equipment up, ripped the plant out, and cleaned everything. I should be fine. I'm going to wait a few weeks to make sure I'm in the clear, and try try again
