First Ever Grow: 2 Years of Lurking

So after about 2-3 years of lurking the forums for information, I have started a grow. I had 5 bagseeds laying around and decided to put em to use. I know one of them is of a really nice strain, the rest were mediocre buds. I also plan on getting clones soon which will result in buying more lights. I'm hoping for some good results with the CFL's. If they don't give me what I'm looking for, I'll probably switch to CMH bulb, but I'll see how this goes first(fingers crossed). I currently have two of the seeds in galloon buckets and the other three in smaller solo cops. I also plan on adding DIY Soda can reflectors.. unless someone could recommend another cheap/DIY reflector:lol:.

All criticism is gladly welcome and I hope to put my RIU knowledge to good work.

Lights : 4 26w CFL 6500k, soon to add a couple 2700k bulbs for a variety of spectrum.
Soil : Fox Farm Happy frog soil 75%, Perlite 25%
Nutes : Dyna-gro line, Foliage-pro, Bloom, Protk, and probably some molasses
Water: Tap, my water's pH is right around 6.5 so I got pretty lucky.

one of the solo cup seedlings seems to be poking through already :)

so Three of them have sprouted... The other two haven't. Should I be worried? How long do you guys wait before tossing germinated seeds which don't sprout through soil?

I usually germinate in a papertowel, and then once I get a white sprout I will throw them in to a peat moss pellet. after they have gotten 2-3 nodes I will transplant them to a party cup, I hope that you get a female, and if you do, you should be sure to clone it to make a mom, you can make super tiny bonsai moms that will donate like 4-5 clones a week.

hey im a new grower and i bought two autoflowering sweet fast bud and they are now about two weeks they are pretty strong plants the only problem is they have a tad droopy leaves im using two 75 watt cfl florescent tubes that are almost touching the plants they give off no real heat but they are a nice temp to be close to the plants i have a fan on them so it stays at a constant 75-80 degrees they are on a 24/7 light schedule and i also will be using fox farm fertilizer to feed them ill post some pictures and please let me know any comments or concerns

Any recommendations on a Good DIY Cab/Tent tutorial? Thinking about making my own.. possibly out of a U-Haul Grand Wardrobe box or Wood Frame + Mylar... any suggestions?

So They're now 4/5 days old.. All 5 have poked through the soil but one is looking fairly weak as it showing no green.

I'll be putting them into the wardrobe box today.

Is this small for 4/5 days? Sorry for the blurry pictures.

not really, I would say the biggest thing about doing your first grow is to be patient and just check out all of the completed grows on here, if you go to like the third page on the forum there are a bunch of uhaul box grows with directions and step by step pics. I would like to be the first (or maybe not the first) to welcome you to the wonderfull world of micro grows. (ps check out micro.grower's journals, they were really helpfull for me.)

Here's a few updated pics just taken. All five are looking fairly well. I tried getting a picture of all 5 with my Iphone but could only squeeze in 4.
I have 6 lights in there now. 4 6500k 26w, 1 23w 2700k, and 1 13w 2700k = 140w. Running on 20/4
I've also added a fan in the bottom of the box to get some good circulation going. The hole I had at the bottom seemed a bit weak.
Big thanks to all who are following.

Congratulations on taking the plunge after lurking 3 years! You're an official cannabis grower.
Your plants look fine. They seem to grow so slowly at first.
