they look good. what is that they're in, peat? if they look too short, raise the light some. get a small fan on them to bump them around, strengthen the stems and moderate temperature.

the 2 in soil are in a mixture of potting compost and garden topsoil few stones etc lol was more up for hydro but as my first grow thought id chuck in a couple of soil aswell, i have them Under a 600hps with a clip on fan underneath and an oscilating fan in the corner and tt100 extraction with carbon filter, im going to put the soil in the final pots maybe tomorrow evening after work.

looks like they could grow more before you transplant, but you can do what you want. might be a good idea to let the soil dry out quite a bit before you remove them. dry soil gets pulled out more easily than wet.

ok thanks mate, unfortunately before seeing this msg i rushed home from work and transplanted them lol. It went well, NL lost a few roots in bottom of pot hope she will be ok, oz kush came out whole with a small tap on the back of pot. Transplanted and watered and have changed to elastic for LST which i get free (work in apple orchard). will try and get some pics in a bit.

try to take pics in white light, not sodium or LED because no one see color well, except in white light.

yes think im going to leave them and try to train/tuck them looking good today i have put train on second largest growth and the 3 or 4 middle ones are getting up now, domina seems to have 4 or 5 tops comming i was aiming for 6 so think im just going to leave them alone now.

My first hydro grow was a homemade top fed dwc under 600w also was fucking awsome !!!!!! Ended up having a 40gal res for 1 plant neverrrrrr had issues involving water , thought I'd buy some 20L bubble buckets after that and had countless water issues since with triple the maintenance -_-

to be honest mate id heard of hydro but never dwc before and really didnt beleive it could work but now imm seeing with my own eyes, you only have to look at the soil next to them to see that they are already twice as big. Thanks for info because i was looking seriously at building rdwc system in those buckets but wondered about space for roots etc, the only probleme with the big res is that i prob should have used same variety because without another res I can not seperate them if there is a problem. Tha leaves are touching today and they are at each end of res lol! cant wait to get them into flower its going to be frickin awesome as you say. i have ordered some mycorrhizal fungi just in case of root rot as i have no cooler!

Yeah buckets would be fine until plants start to get some size these ones drink nearly half the bucket in a day and night , yeah if you've done soil before then rdwc is pretty amazing for the first run Mabe just get another tub to transport the other plant too ? , good luck man hope it all goes well !

Hi guys, just been to get some pics, i took some small twisted leaves of domina today as she was so bushy lots of leaves ontop of each other and some were damp so ive take 3-4 of the most annoying ones off. The difference between hydro and soil i find is incredible, northern lights is growing but very slowely compared to the others not sure if im feeding her enough maybe she is a hungry one? loads of growths comming through on domina and lsd, have built a little clone cupboard with a t5 18w daylight and a couple of cfls, Im hoping that will be enough to keep a couple of bonsai mothers and clones. Im going to order a small vegging tent in next few days.

hydro plants grow fast for more than one reason. Since the roots are immersed in water, the plant won't spend much energy looking for it like they will in a soil grow. The other thing is the oxygen level is raised, helping roots take up nutrients. Roots in soil get oxygen when the soil dries out. With DWC, the grower pumps air into the water which provides the necessary oxygen. Being always surrounded by oxygen and water in DWC, plants grow much more rapidly. The difficult part is the fertilizer, which is under the growers control, and many growers adopt the wondering about this or that, always second guessing if the fert is right. It's really not that hard, you just increased ppm levels to a max as the plant matures. The problem is knowing how much to use and when.
