Hey! Just seeing this. Thank you for your responses. I did not do h202 :/. The guy at the local grow supply store said to use hydrozyme if I was going to use anything with Hydroguard. Was that a good or bad suggestion? Right now they are not looking good at all I still have them old they are light yellow/green now with rusty spots. Thinking potassium or maganise (both) def.I’m going to let some of mine get rot and take before and after pics to show you how it works if you have any questions ask
Not great. Light yellow / green. Rusty spot. I am thinking potassium/ manganese def. I just upped my air pump to a 60 gph from a 20 so hopefully this helps that issue. I think that was a contributing factor forsure. My ph has been around 6 but suggestions were made to go lower so now at 5.7. My water temp is around 70/74.Damn that's unfortunate man. They look over watered, and seeing as this is dwc, that means they aren't getting enough oxygen to the roots via the water. So what this tells us is that there probably isn't enough bubbling /waterfalls going on combined with too high of water temps. Water temp is EXTREMELY important for dwc, trust me, I battled it hard myself.
Check out this chart to get an idea of how big the impact can be. going below about 19c isn't really worth it as you start losing growth speed from temp. https://www.ysi.com/Image Library/Blog/Dissolved-Oxygen-vs-Temperature-Chart-360x180.jpg
How are they looking right now?

Will take a pic when I can open tent.
Roots are twiceLooks like they are doing a little better from the new growth and you don’t put guard and h2o2 in the Rez at the same time u put the h2o2 in let it break down to water h2o about a day or two then add your guard wait two days repeat the process until your roots are nice and white and exploding everywhere
This is the last plant alive. But barely. What would you say is going on ?I also run my veg with advanced nutes just a heads up
Those who tell you you don't need a ppm meter have no care for how your plants turn out.I agree with you on all points and your help is much appreciated. I have chalked this one up to a loss and have started a Seedsman GG auto and Alaska purple auto. I plan to let this run just grow and keep it simple. Learn how the plant works, how my equipment performs and the nutes affect plants. I think I did so much reading and trying to change things early was a killer. I’ve also been told my lights are to strong possibly so changed that for veg stage
I was running 1 240 watt led 40 inches over plants. I was having little growth up top and the roots are quadruple in size what they were a week ago.
The new seedlings conditions are in a smaller Rez, changed ph down to 5.2-5.4 and am now only using Ro water. I did add 1 mg a sensi cal Mag extra to the 2.5 gal Rez since using Ro.
larger air pump - 60 gph
Water temps - 68/72
Room temps - 73/81
Humidity- 40
Changed light a t5 veg light to get them started (only had my leds).
So I don’t have a Ppm / Ec meter. Should I get one?
I was told if only using Advanced nutes , hydroguard and sensi that I should be age without.
Seems silly to take all those other steps to know the information and not have that one thing of information?
Photos attached you can see current condition of the blue dream bag seed. It supposed to be week 5 from germination. Last two pics are the Gg auto day 9 from germination. Going to start a grow journal on those.Honestly man I feel you over cared for them. plants want to grow but when you throw in a bunch of different variables it’s hard for them to adjust remember it’s called weed for a reason it grows like a weed too much care and changing things at an early age can do more harm then good idk if you’re aware of the the kiss term but it means keep it simple stupid and I feel you didn’t do that you don’t have to load up on nutes esspecialy early on give em straight r.o water until they develop a root system once it’s developed add h2o2 and a low amount of nutes maybe 50-100 ppms after add your hydro guard but wait a day or two until your h2o2 breaks down and just continue from there keep you ph between 5.2-5.5 for veg and you’ll be good water temps are important but with proper care u can have water temps in the 80s and still produce growth I think you freaked out started changing stuff on em and didn’t give the plants any time to adjust just my opinion tho I’ll help you on the way but you have to do it how I say after you get the simple parts down you can experiment all u want
