First dirt grow after 3 years in hydro, Day 28 of 12/12

This is some G-13, and White Widow. i think I'm doing OK? Trying to figure out soil growing, but to be honest I'm going back to NFT, or top feed after this.


1k HPS, comtainers are 5 gallon buckets but the bottom is crushed clay tiles, so 3.8 gallons of soil in each. I am using a mix of 4 part organic soil, 2 part peat,1 part cow manure compost and sea based compost (shrimp shells), 1 part perlite, a bit of Mycorise, and limestone. Nutes are FF grow big, and tiger bloom, vegged with compost tea. I use Hygrozyme,and Carbo Blast throughout all my grows, and Bushmaster on 2 just of them (experiment).

i have a 2nd 1k i just started with dirt of Jack Herer, Bubblegum, and WMD, but I used a slightly different mix, and Bushmaster on half of them.

ummm ...just wow! Anyway who knows what the original G13 is. I do have something though that is clone only and in my circle we've been using it for years, and it definetly lives up to the G-13 legend. Maybe it's just a super potent Indica, I don't really care.

Nah, I've seen shit called G-13 for years now, and it's always a highly Indica dom strain. I'd guess it's a f1 from Mapleleaf and maybe a slight sativa cross. Anyway the potency is great, and depending on when you harvest, the buzz can approach sativa like effects. It's not even close to my favorite, just messing with it as a favor to a patient/friend really.

Oh to be honest I don't know if there ever really was a G-13 federally grown weed, but again who cares?

Personally i don't believe the G13 myth, but that's what they call this particulat strain at the Michigan dispensaries, so thats what I call it. It's definetly Indica, I'd say almost pure just looking at the plants, leaves, flower sets, etc. The other thing about ths strain is it is POTENT, and if harvested too late it will literally put you to sleep. I can't speak about the G13 myth, and that certainly is not the point of this thread. i can onyl tell you what i do know about this strain. i can also tell you that it does not breed true, so it's definetly clone only.

so how is it looking for 28 days?

Better than mine I'm on 25 ish.

Thats just laughable! Forget about all the reputable people who have bred with "G-13" like Shanti and Neville, which the G-13 they used was indica dominant, and think about what you just said. Pure sativa? I've never in my life heard G-13 was a pure sativa. Even if the myth is true I've had freinds who have worked at the pot farm at Old Miss and I don't remember them saying anything about seeing pure sativas being grown. I don't really buy into the myth myself I think it was just good marketing like many infamous strains. I do however believe that someone found a bomb ass indica which is now known as "G-13" and is now widely found in crosses.

my feeling on the subject exactly. I don't even care how it orginated the fact is there's a strain of weed all over called "G-13" it's highly potent and narcotic, and definitely Indica dom. I'm at day 50 now and the "G-13s" have super hard buds, just insane density, and they're very near done I'd say. I'll get some pics up tomorrow maybe, my camera is out of batteries. The widows are slow to me, coming from hydo anyway.

untopped huh? I'm at day 50 now and they are looking just insane, but I bet they go close to 70 days before it's all said and done.

Here's teh first table at 51 days. i got these as some haggard ass mommas. So my expectations were low. I cut all my own fresh clones, and right next to this I have another 1k with 12 new girls that are just blowing these bitches away! Anyway I am not real happy with my overall bud yield, but the quality I'm getting looks A+.

I'll get some better shots tonight and some close up bud porn. The G13s don;t smell so great compared to some buds, but they are so ridiculously tight. Some of the densest nugs I've ever seen.


Oh so to answer your question, the 12 in the pictures were moms and had a pretty hard life, bugs, too little light. i trimmed them back mercilessly when i got them and then repotted them and let them grow back about three weeks before i put them in 12/12. Like i said i never really expected huge yields off these bitches, but I had just moved and didnt have anything in flower anyway so..... here they are! Sometimes that weed that has a bad life makes some really potent weed. The WWs arent putting out the nuggets I'm used to in size, but they look heady as fuck! I', prolly only gonna get a 1/2 LB off of all 12 but it looks high quality so fuck it.

The 1k i have in the room next to it is also a promix grow. It's 3 WMDs, 2 WWs, 3 Jack Herers, 3 Nebulas, and one Afghani #1 ( might do some breeding with this). These all look great at day 22, and the sky is the limit on their yield, it's a whole different ballgame on that table, with babies i started myself.

I was doing AK, then Bubblegum, then finally Big Bud, all hydro for several years. I'm just goofing around with some other strains. It's funny cuz even though I have been a grower for a good bit now, i really only did just a few strains, and just one way. i got crazy results though!! So it's not like i wasnt good at it! Right now I'm just looking at 7 strains, and planning another big hydro system, and screwing around with some shit.
