Hello all and thanks for checking out my post. I've finally been able to get all the supplies I need in order to begin my first official grow(excluding my high school experiments years and years back) and have some questions based off of my setup. I have a lot of experience in mycology and thought id give my green thumb a try again. As with my mushroom set ups, I want to make sure I do this grow properly and with the best supplies and genetics I can get or prefer. So here are the basics on what ill be using
Lights: 400 watt vero29 V7 framework from Timber 3500k(used for full cycle)
Strains: Super Lemon Haze(favorite), Chocolope, OG#18, Jack the Ripper, NL#5xHaze and Tangie. (im more of a sativa kinda guy)
Tent:4x4
Soil: FFOF-5 gallon pots for flowering
Nutes: FF trio and Recharge
And of course 6 inch inline fan and filter, fans ducting blah blah blah...
As a result of me absolutely wanting to have a variety of strains, I know Ill have my hands tied when it comes to maintaining an even canopy, if at all even possible lol. Ill primarily be running sativas but have that OG#18 in there to help level the playing field a bit. So heres where some of my questions come in. With so many different strains, what do you think I can do to help even the canopy out a bit? Lst, trellis nets, topping, a combination??
4 of the 6 strains are feminized and 2 of them are reg, so ill be having hopefully 4-6 plants. The amount of lighting I have should be enough for a 3.5x3.5 so I wont quit be filling the tent, but also want to add a red flowering light just to get the wattage up a bit. Im thinking of vegging for 3-4 weeks but I am open to suggestions of course on changing the time.
So what do you guys think? How can I maintain all of these different strains in one tent? What supplemental lighting can I possible add to get my wattage up a bit for flowering without murdering my wallet? Do you think 5 gallon pots are gonna be what I need? Any other recs on nutes? Is this too many plants for the veg time im planning? Lemme know if you guys have any tips or suggestions you can throw my way!
