First Closet Set Up (Need opinion)

So this is my first closet set up!

I am growing 2 Lost Coast OG (Indica) - from seeds

At about 4" - 6" I FIMed both of them, about 1 and a half weeks later I started low stress training them to bush out more evenly. I made a make shift tomato cage After the LST Here they are from the day it popped out of the top soil (First pic) to week 3 of Veg (Last pic)

I was told I could bring my CO2 levels up by using a small dose of Dry Ice in a gallon of water? Any thoughts?

Closet temps are ranging from 70-80 degrees

I plan on throwing them into flower this week with a 600 watt HPS for 8 weeks! Let me know what you all think.

OP I think you'll be shocked what a 600w HPS will do in a small closet. It's unlikely a 4" bathroom exhaust at top of closet will be enough. I tried a 600w in a 2.5 x 2.5 closet with a heavy duty 6" inline fan pulling a shit ton of air out of a ceiling hole and is was not enough. Unless the closet door can stay open with some kind of box fan pointing in, but you have to accommodate a light schedule.

@Dalek Supreme and @Six9 are correct...no way is a 4" fan going to cool 600w especially in a small confined space.

However...I run 400w in a 36"W X 20"D X 62"H tent. I have a 260 cfm blowing over the bulb through a cool tube reflector. My temps never exceed 82 degrees F. And that is with my AC off. With it on my tent stays between 74 and 76 degrees F

Depending on how you set up your ventilation a similar set up could work for you. With 600w you may need to run a 440 cfm or better in-line fan and a booster at the other end. If it were me I would use the in line to push air and the booster to exhaust.

You will never be able to keep a small closet cool with that much wattage and a 4" PC fan and bathroom fan combo.

During the day I have my house set at 65 degrees and a box fan at the door of the closet pulling air in from the room. Would that suffice at all? My flowering schedule is 6am - 6pm (on) 6pm - 6am (off) so at night while the light is off the closet will be sitting at a neutral temp.

Any numbers on how much you have pulled off a 600watt in the past?

There are MANY variables that can effect harvest yield. Light of course needs to be considered but also grow method, medium, nutrients, watering, ph, rh, temp, ventilation...on and on. Some say a grower should be able to get a gm/watt. Don't believe the hype. In absolute optimum conditions this may be possible. But, for the other 98% of us indoor farmers a gm/watt ratio is IMHO just not possible.

I am sorry if that comment brings on a troll attack...it likely could. If it does just ignore them...without food they will starve and leave.

Anyway your grow will yield an equal amount of bud as the knowledge, skill, and unfortunately $$$ you put into it.

I'm hitting them with my own feed schedule to each week of life this includes(flora micro/bloom/grow, carbo-load, calimagic, and a few others) and using H2O2(low dosage) when I flush to keep roots nice and clean. My pH is determined by what week of life the plant is in but the PH stays in the 6.0 - 6.3 range. Some weeks im pushing it harder than others and still my PPM run offs are staying at a decent level. I don't find it to be a troll or anything of the matter. I like the feed back! Keep's people from having an ego about growing!

I gotta say dude...I am a bit confused here....You obviously have a decent amount of cultivation knowledge..why would you not take ventilation and cooling of a 600w HID into consideration?

HMMM ok...now I am REALLY confused...if that is actually you and your grow in your avatar...why would you even want to go indoors? I don't get it. Also, back to my original point...anyone who possesses that much knowledge and talent for growing should know that the best way to grow indoors is to mimic nature as closely as possible. The point is that you have a tremendous amount of talent and knowledge. Perhaps you don't give yourself enough kudos on your ability and that makes you doubt your skills.

No matter how you finally accomplish your 1st indoor grow, I have no doubt you will be successful.

Yes that is me in my avatar but that is not my personal grow I don't own any of those plants, I work for a cultivation site. The closet grow is just for personal use and to test my skills to see what my potential is indoor, these two Lost coast plants I get to actually care for my self day in and day out, as to the plants at work are touched/watered by multiple people a day. Other peoples emotions/skills are being put into my work plants. It's hard for me to gauge my skills.

Also really appreciate the feed back! Everything helps. Just trying to widen my knowledge

OP you're nearly set, you could go big panel led, everything has a downside but yep duplicate outdoor conditions. You have outdoor grow experience, you'd not believe the satisfaction seeing a guerilla grow explode. Or if can support a 20ish gal pot somewhere, you'll love it, will be your own.

Yeah I actually have a 20 gal smart pot that I was thinking of using for one plant under 600watt dimmed at 50% for Veg running a MH bulb, and scrogging out the plant hard with a small piece of trellis. Have you had results with a 20 gal pot alone in a closet set up?

I've run single 10gal and could have gone 15 gal, but not not sure on scrog for your space, maybe someone can chime in
