Holy shit dude they will fry with the ventilation your using you will need a strong 6 inch inline fan for that light.I ordered a 600w open reflector hps for flowering from ebay for $90. It has a dimmable digital ballast I hope it works out for my area. This is the one I got, is it a good ballast? I hope the ballast is fanless so it stays quieter. View attachment 3579031
Cool. Just be careful mate keep a close eye when u try it. It will fry them without good ventilation. How's the flowering coming along.I will try it and if that happens I will just go right back to cfls. I got a new macro cell phone camera attachment and it's working pretty well so far I will update tonight with some pictures
Still clear as hell. Easily another few weeks this bit seems to drag doesn't it. I'm checking mine everyday taking for ever grrrr lolUpdate 1/13 trichome shotsView attachment 3585460
With my current setup, I have a 20" box fan exhaust and for intake I have a 10" box fan. It creates a lot of negative pressure (not a bad thing) and my temps stay consistently around 80 and never higher than 82 farenheight. I'm using 500w of assorted CFLs.What is the temp running at now from when you started? Did you order a new exhaust system with the fan? Running that type of light will heat up the tent even more?
