This is me n my roomates first grow. We have our plants all in one gallon pots. I am waiting to change the big one into a bigger pot once i fig out its sex. Its about 14 in tall. We are gettin to the point where we need feedback and advice. we built a box, put it in my closet. we have a 250 MH now, and we are puttin my big plant into flowering 12 12 as of now. I am taking out the plant and placeing it in the dark. Our box is 4 feet tall and 4 feet long and 22 inches deep. We would like to know what more we could do to make our grow better? Noooobs! Our 18- 6 cycle is what we are using as of the moment for the other four plants. We are wondering about training, and with our grow height should we LST, as well should we water more, etc. what about trimming the big plant it looks a little droopy and bushy. let us know what you think. we feel overwhelmed as of the moment. Ty all in advance :joint:

Looking pretty good, what is that you using for reflection and what are you doing for ventilation? also looks like you got the bottom leaves wet during watering and I wouldn't go trimming anything.

Is this pic the box you are referring to? You say you are putting your
big one in flower, or all of them...I only see one chamber.

If you are putting them all on 12/12, giving your space limits, I would
top them all A.S.A.P...especially the big one. Training is an option too
but I would top first to slow them down some.

My scehdule is all messed up right now. The lrg one is going into flowering. i can let it get lrg bcuz once i see the sex i will clone it. taking the top of little by little. I put the lerg one into a different cbinet to get 12 12. .....I am using emergency blanket in the box as reflective, and I have one fan blowing in and a hole at the top and i can feel the air being pressed out, so i didnt se the need for an exhaust fan. The temp stays at about 85, and drops to about 80 when the lights off. As soon as my other plants hit 8-10 in, i will put the rest of my plants into flower and turn the light over to a HPS and the light scehdule in the box to 12 12. Any comments appreciated!

Looking good to me, how is the emergency blankets working for you, how much do they cost and where can one purchase them?

Keep up the good work!

It means what it means, taking the top of the plant to control height and induce more colas/budding sites.

so the leaves started turning yellow underneath the plants dont know why, i misted them a couple days ago but i did it under the light so did i burn them or something? got the emergency blankets from supertarget a 56" x 83" for 1.99 they are a pain in the ass to put up tho cuz they r so flimsy we used elmers glue it seemed to work the best.

Thanks for the information, I don't have a super target near me but we do have a super walmart, I'll check there, at least I know I don't have to go to a sporting good store.

I will be using the blankets for curtains, right now I'm using a white sheet and planned on sewing a sheet of black plastic to it in hopes that it will make the closet light/dark proof but if I can get a couple of them emergency blankets I wouldn't have to do all that sewing.

Again thanks for the info!

Big plant is about 20+ inches smaller plants are at around 8-10". We think we might put them into flowering in a week or two. Big plant has been flowering for about a week now.

I'm on my first grow and every day i was going crazy looking for hairs/balls. it took just about 12-14 days to see the first white hair. takes weeks man. looking good though. hope they all turn out to be femmy :) GOOD LUCK.

ya were so impatient its such a nice big beautiful plant would hate to have to throw it away.... :( what do you guys think of flowering the other smaller plants now. they range from 10-12". we are planning on topping the big one and cloning if its a female. to me the small ones seem too little still but they should double in size during flowering right?

I got a couple of those emergency blankets for 1.99 a peice, however I think I got the wrong ones, they are shiny but light still shines through, bummer oh well, was worth the try.

Concerning flowering/topping, I would recommend topping the largest plant, give it a week or two to recuperate, while the others has a chance to catch up in hieght, I did something similar, I fed my smaller plants MG to catch up with the larger ones that I only feed water and it worked.

They say that plants can double or even triple in size but I'm thinking it depends on their conditions and the size of pots.

OUr blankets are the same, ey sine through a little, but with a solid back, they dont shine through at all. or you can double um up, they are so thin. So i put all our plants into flower, dont want to risk a height problem, and am getting anxious, as well i think our lrgst is a male. i will post pics in a day or so when i fig it out for sure.

Can't wait for pics, sexing is frustrating the first time but after you sex your first plants you'll never have a problem there after, except maybe determining a herm, I haven't experienced that yet.

That image helped me a lot, hope it helps you as well.
