ok so I got a chronic bag seed from my local friend and germinated and am 2 weeks into growth, i just transplanted my baby into a 8 inch pot. For soil i am using miracle grow moisture control. I have 2 26w 6500k Cfl's ,and 1 26w 2700k cfl. In a box lined with mylar(emergency blanket) i am running about 20/4 light cycle. I also have a Fan. I got some Schultz 10-15-10 plant food plus but have not added any nutes yet. I was thinking it was about time, does this sound alright ? total noob so any help is welcome. btw i cannot sleep its 6 am. Photo is of PLant befor transplant. the leaves look bent down but they are not.
sorry the image is huge. lol better and more photos (btw these were taken on a camera phone

1. nutes?
2. enough light?
3. any advice?
4. im so excited, accept i have a midterm tomorrow to study for.

i wouldnt start nutes till the 5th week unless you see signs of a defficiency. seedlings are delicate and one time with to much nutes will fuck it all up. but your good on lights untill it gets taller and the light doesnt reach the bottom. but so far so good! good job bro

thanks man, ok i will hold off on nutes. also i was wondering about Co2, i was reading that you could get active yeast and feed it sugar for a while and it would help the plant be merry.

yea iv heard of that too, but honestly if you just make sure it gets fresh air everyday itll b totally fine. iv never used co2 in my closets and havent had any problems. i just never felt like figuring out the right amout to use for my grow space size. you will need to work your temp,humidity,co2,sq footage, etc into concideration when using co2 for it to help the plants

Co2 isn't used for 'one plant' grows with weak lights, there's no need for it. When you decide to go with a 2000 square ft commercial grow op in your basement, then maybe look into CO2 treatments.

DIY sugar/yeast setups put out a lot more odour than your plants ever will. I couldn't live with that smell in my house let alone my own closet.

hey so currently it is on a 20/4 light cycle, is that best for growing? i also concluded i was over watering and am going to chill out on the agua. i am thinking that i am only going to veg for about 5 weeks. what is the best light cycle for quickest growth.

alot of people recomend 18/6 for best veggatative growth, because a dark period everyday promotes good root growth. but i prefer 24/0

2 weeks old ( liek 13days 1Xhours) , concluded i was over watering. i got really baked :joint:and decided to give it a tiny bit of nutes then freaked lol. so its fine, made regualr size batch then diluted it to 1/8 and pored a splash. still on 20/4. I got the temp to drop to 82-85, with good air flow w/ lights on, and am waiting for another USB FAN. The plant looks very short i know, but i started it in like 2 inch soil and added more and more up to about 4 inches. now is in a 8inch pot and i added more soil when i transplanted. the is a wooden handle from a pop cycle. any advice?

i grow with 18/6 light during veg. the dark photo period will help you with roots, which in return give you a stronger healthier plant. i hold off on nutes until my seedlings reach about six iches. i use distilled water to water them until the time has come for nutes.

Funny I made a yeast generator in my closet grow that is pumping out CO2 as we speak and there is no smell of any kind and i used molasses...
And if CO2 improves yeilds and shortens flowering time on a large operation it most certainly will on a small operation. Most people will consider it too much effort for a small grow, and I do as well after trying it.

but it doesnt mean "CO2 wont help because your not commercial"... where is the science behind that logic? :wall:
And I also am growing a soil plant in a party cup and am feeding it full strength solution of GH with molasses as an experiment and the plant is exploding right now..

ok so i saw a few "hairs/ growth" there green around the under side of a few leaves, which is signs of it being a female or is it growth im a little confused there to tiny to photo graph and the lcd on my digital is broken to im taking photos pretty much in the dark. i lowered the lights about 2 or 3 inch's i think they were at least 6+inches away befor hopefully should spark faster growth.

At this stage of the game your plant is adequate size to bring your lights as close as possible. just make sure if you put your hand between the lights its not HOT, I'm using CFLs and have 2 32w 6500k bulbs about 1.5" from the tops on the plant... you'll defiantly see improvements. And nutes wont hurt just start at 1/4 strength adjust the PH to right around 6... subscribed to see how it turns out! oh and once you get more bud on the plant then all of a sudden advice and comments start rolling in without asking for it haha

Plant at least three more seeds now. Worst thing is growing for a month and a half to realize that Lawanda is actually Leroy. If you only have room for one big plant, just keep the strongest female. Trust me.
