On the 9th I noticed the white rhino to be in terrible condition and found the culprit to be yet another infestation of spider mites. I waited til lights off (learned my lesson) and sprayed them down. They seem to be gone for now. I also noticed bronze spots on the leaves of 2 colas. Later that day I gave them nutes containing a little of each: Tiger Bloom, Neptune's Harvest fish fert, Botanicare Seaplex, and Liquid Karma. So whether the spots were from mites or deficiencies, they have seemed to stop spreading.

Sorry to hear about the mites. Typical though. Carpet in the area etc etc. Get the scope out and keep diligent on those treatments to keep them in check.

Still watching the schwag with much anticipation.

Cheers.

Everything is looking good here :bigjoint: My girls are starting to ripen up too.

Looks like we will be harvesting around the same time, I'm looking to pull at least on my girls (if finished) around May 2-4 which would make 9 weeks of flowering.
So we will both be smoking our own wares in this Texas sun this summer :leaf:. I do wish that I would have some bud finished before 420 for the Reggae Fest going on this week. Good thing I have some bud left from my last Harvest.

 Keep up the good work, and finish strong

You bet! I'm even more glad I've decided to take a short break after this. The whole place is going to be scrubbed clean and I'm going to take whatever precautions I can to avoid bringing these pests in again, whether that means pre-treating soil or what.

Thank you!! Thanks for checking out my grow. So I see you're familiar with them, relentless little bastards. I found that Spectracide Malathion keeps them at bay. http://www.spectracide.com/Products-and-Solutions/All-Products/Spectracide-Malathion-Insect-Spray-Concentrate.aspx
I'm just about to have 2 weeks left, so hopefully there won't be another outbreak.

I'll post some pics later tonight, including some really sad ones of what they did to the rhino. :'(
The buds are getting pretty big. :) I'm very excited.

Hope everyone had a great 4/20

Well........I've got another short Ryder outside (2weeks flowering) plus a northern lights auto outside, got a juicy fruit flowering inside on 12/12 and an unknown freebie on 12/12.
I'm gonna hold off on starting another grow, until I get the light setup I want, but I do have some killer beans stashed away.
All Barney's Farm, vanilla kush, pineapple chunk and blue cheese plus a truck load of freebies from Herbies!

Sorry to hear about the spidermites ,but I'm sure you can wipe them out if you caught them early enough.
Looking like May is gonna be a good month for you ;)

Edit: I was just on The Homedepots free WiFi, and they don't allow you to view rollitup.org lol wtf is up with that?
Do they not know I get most of my growing supplies from them ? (cfls, pots, soil, fans etc.)
It's kind of funny to me that they blocked riu haha

Thank you! Yeah I'm hoping May will treat me well. :)
And WTF, haha. There's a pretty hefty stream of revenue that comes from the people on this site. Wonder if that's just part of a standardized filter they have, or not.... dundundunnn

Here are those pics I never posted!
There is one cola with some really odd spotting. This cola is also the closest to the lights, (but not touching). I'm curious if this is due to light-bleaching. Maybe my ghetto mylar-wrapped light fixture is creating some funky hot spots? It's the largest cola on that plant, and the only one with that kind of "damage".
To be honest at this point I have adopted a "to hell with everything, let me just make it to harvest without spidermite apocalypse or hermies" attitude. I'm on the 7th week now, I know that stored nutrients are used up as I give them plain water. So do deficiencies even matter at this point?

White Rhino damage:
I would also like to point out that the spider mite infestation was what I came back to after being gone about 3-4 days. I think it's possible that the damage was worsened due to underwatering at that time.

Poor schwag. Little girl is in a blurry shot on top of it all. Now it's parentage is dubious to say the least ... Hard to see what is previous damage. I tried to compare previous shot/s. Development and flower pistil color change doesn't lend to my previous thinking in regards to it running 10 week ... hrm.

Bleaching can happen but I'm seeing mostly mite damage and some previous water issue stress. Plus the hotshot problem that soil gave on top of it.

Only other pet peeve is the deadfall/clippings left on the soil. Leaving potential food/hiding places for pests. Just me. Inside vs outside and all that rot. I prefer to hedge my bets and just see the medium/soil. Allows for faster ident on other issues that could occur.
