First CFL closet grow.

hey, il brainstorm abit the things i noticed hope u dont mind!!
1st, i wouldnt start my seedlings in rockwool start them in a low nute soil
2 i would prefer planting in the pots they finish but since u need to sex them i guess u need to start in smaller pots to fit in there!
3 VENTILATION i dont know how much heat cfls produce but u need good air exchange in the grow room!!
4 do not feed till plant in third week and start with 1/4 of recommended dosage!
5 add some worm castings and high N guano for the first two weeks of plants life in soil before planting!
6 smell i see u have no plans for this what are u going to do when the ladies start getting smelly???
7 TELL NO ONE SERIOUSLY!!!

ok. so soon as they pop from germ, pu them straight into my 8" pots? and I have fox farm ocean forest soil. it has all that stuff in there should I add more??? and instead of using those nuts just use tiger bloom in the 3rd week of its life? when its time for that I have seen a walmart made carbon filter that I will add to it and seen some pc fans lying around that i can add to blow into it

thanks for the help to!!! any more suggestions would be nice. all info taking will be nice as this is first grow.

Takin a look @ wat yer workin w/and wanted to let you know that I'd be willin to help ya out in any way I can! Check out my grow, I know a lil about CFL's

dude im european so i can give u indications in the metric system!! i use 6,5 liter pots but i would use 9l and 11l too but nothing smaller than 6,5 though!! i think 9 would be good i think this is 3 gallons but definitely not sure!! i think FF OF is hot soil again im not american so what i say comes from advice given to me!! go buy low nute soil it has nothing in so it must be dead cheap and look at my soil mix and how i applied the compost with the high P bat guano and worm castings to bottom 3/5 of soil and then filled with low nute soil with worm castings and high N pelecan guano!! this way the seedlings grow in low nute soil with all they need and as they go deeper they find the things needed during flowering!! besides by this way i add no nutes and i only make teas which i give every other feeding!! instead of using them nuts?? what do u mean?? i think i was told a good mix is 50-50 ocean forrest and happy frog i would add bat guano in too!! i think you need stronger fans for the carbon filter and i think u could find a good fan and carbon filter for around 100$ and its worth the money 4 sure!!!! hope this helps!! anything else just say so!!!!

Thats a cool concept got2love it. I have a few really deep 7qt. pots and I think i'll try layering like you said. I plan on keeping them on 12/12 from seed so the small pots shouldn't matter.

shefsmoke- I agree with them when they caution you about the nutes and hot soil when the plants are young. Some strains love a lot of ferts but some need very little and will burn easy. It'salways better to start with less. That way you can add more if you need to. I usually sprout my seeds in 50/50 vermiculite/perlite mix with bone and blood meal. Thats usually good to keep happy till about 2 weeks. Then I go to a higher nute soil in 4qt. pots.

Your nutes look like the real deal and I am sure it came with instructions but just be cautious.

Your closent looks great. Does it leak light t all. You CPF prob wont make to much heat so venting should be easy. Also, will smell be a problem for your current situation? I bet those lady Ak's will smell pretty loud.

either 18/6 or 12/12 idk whats best for an auto flower

I will go 12/12 from seed so that the plan'ts will flower as soon as they are mature. Just an experiment Im going to doing after reading Spittin'4chash's 5th grow journal.

If your planning to veg the plants up big before you flower then this will not be for you. But your right, mj plants love alot of light. I veg under 18/6 and grow seedling under 24on untill 2 weeks w/ CPF usually.

then ur not growing autoflowering strains!! let them go under 18/6 for three weeks then flower!!i grow af so i dont have to deal with that!!

Finally after 2 days of germing seeds 1 of my bagseeds broke through the shell prolly by tonight or tom morning they will be ready to put in soil!

Cool. Have you decided for sure on the soil and nutes you will use while i's a seedling?

I hope it smells like 3 rabid skunks had a fight in your place soon!

Im prolly just gonna use the ocean forest soil and be very careful "read whats all in it and etc to see about nutes in it and other things adn what not b/c i spent 22 dollars on it dont wanna waste it! I got the trio fox farm nutes to but ill prolly wait until a month old to feed it some depends on soil? as for smell I totally agree with you!!! I want them bad dogs to stink like no tom and look bright red and green!!!
